Re: New Bugs found in RTC 0.22
Hmmm .. and I found the rope didn't CLIMB DOWN for some characters. Maybe you should move the wand to another character and try again. If it works for some, but not all characters, then it's the same bug as the rope.

Re: wands
I had a look at the rope issue last night and can't replicate it. No matter which combination of characters or positions, it always worked when they were facing a pit.
Can I please clarify a couple of things?
- Firstly, do you mean that the option "climb down" isn't there for some characters, or do you mean that when you click on "climb down", nothing happens?
- Secondly, can you please confirm that the characters (as opposed to your view point) were definitely facing a pit when you pressed "climb down"?
My only guess is that this second point is where the confusion lies, if your characters are facing away from a pit and hit "climb down" then it won't work for them - but this is the intended behaviour. If this is indeed the source of the confusion, what do people think about changing this; should you attempt to climb down the pit that is infront of the character holding the rope, or attempt to climb down the pit that is in the direction the view point is facing?

Re: wands
George:
There was a rope in the character's hand, a pit right in front of the party (3D view), and CLIMB DOWN was to action I clicked on.
Simply moving the rope to another character usually worked. But I did see the fourth character fail (back right of party), third character fail (front right), but then the first character (back left) worked. -- without moving the party, just who had the rope.
I'll try for a save game that I can E-mail you.
-----------
I think of the climb down action as a party action. So it should be the pit in the 3D view = ahead of the party, ignoring any character's facing. I believe spell casting is the same (but I could be wrong); namely, the spell always goes forward from the party's facing. (Guess I'll have to try FTL's game and test it.)

Re: wands
I disagree with the last paragraph.
Spell casting is not party action, it is a member action. I don't know if it was already fixed, because in RTC spellcaster always turned to the front. IMHO spellcaster should cast spell in that direction in which he is currently facing.
But the Climb Down is party action and IMHO should be applied to the pit directly in party's view.
