After finding this site I have rekindled my love for a game I threw to one side after completing it (the first time I did it had taken me about 3 years with a million saved games and no maps/hints/solutions!!!). I realised you could build up food and skills by battering the Screamers on the Worm level and the Rats on the level 9/10, stepping out of the room and going back in to find them regenerated.
In a quest to build my guys up to new record levels(for me) I spent a good while mashing up the Mushies! Then to my surprise after considerable numbers had been wasted they stopped leaving me screamer slices.
Is this in the program to stop you making the game too easy, or is it just my old STE not being able to handle several hundred slices in the same game space? I know this is a bit anal but I did wonder!!!!!!!!!

RE: Refuelling Rooms
Only 64 items can occupy one square, and there's an upper limit on how many objects can exist in the dungeon. Looks like you reached that limit!
RE: Refuelling Rooms
My rats(hehe..) never stopped leaving drumsticks. I stored all drumsticks my team "couldn't" eat in the room where RA-key was. I once tried to move them in one place to see how many of those there were, but got bored because ST was getting pretty slow.. I don't think there's any limit for how many objects there can be. Or does the amount of memory matter? I have 4MB.
