Where's Chaos?

Post by Edie »

I am playing DM on Super NES, I got to the very end several times but couldn't defeat the fire demons so I decided to begin again using the game genie codes and making all my characters very tough. Well, I've defeated all the fire demons and fire elementals but what happened to Chaos?

I know he's out there because he does throw fire, lightning etc at me but I can't see him to find him. Any idea?

Also, what is the purpose of the hellion?

Thanks alot.

Hmmm, I used to own the SNES version and played it many, many, many times. Chaos was alway's there for me. It's been a while though since I played it. Do you have the Firestaff with the Power Gem? Other than that I don't know why you can'y find Chaos. Ah and did you find the Power Towers and Dexhelm? They are in the SNES version, if you didn't already know. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Power Towers are useless aren't they? Don't they weigh 8.1kg and add 8kg to your maximum weight allowance (which doesn't actually mean you can carry an extra 8.1kg)?? I know it is something like that in Chaos Strikes Back..guess it would be the same in the SNES version of DM too.

As for Chaos..that does sound weird but the SNES version may be different to the Amiga and ST versions which I have played.

Power towers increase your strength, so they pay for themselves in terms of additional weight you have to carry, and you get a little more oomph in your attacks
The fire poleyn in DM2 were slightly differnet, in that they increased load only by about 12, but weighted 8...still good for 4kg and some protection though : )

The power towers are actually available in the original DM code, they were just never used in the dungeon! Same with the dexhelm, conduit and lockpicks

Where are the towers/helm in DM snes then?
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE WHO MADE THE GAME WHAT IT WAS - GREAT!

In the SNES version, the PowerTowers are found at the end of one of the corridors in the Treasure Stores of Level 5. I never found the Dexhelm in this version - can anyone else confirm if it's in there?

Yeah the Dex Helm is on Level 8 in the main ARENA area through a false wall. The room is full of Gigglers and also has some funky music! Ah I miss the SNES version.
