What does calm do?

I thought that it made your characters regenerate immediately upon going to sleep (I remember sometimes you have to wait a few seconds before the lines start to rise), but I was browsing the older messages and one made reference that it had a similar effect as the horn of fear and war cry (making monsters run). Who is right?

It tries to pacify water and fire elementals plus, possibly, spirits. It just makes them attack a little less frequently for a short period of time.

Several physical monsters are affected by the calm effect. They stop being hostile to you (until you hurt them of course). At least for a while. This is an excellent action to be performed by your backguard while the front line hacks and chops!

It also works on Chaos, along with War Cries.
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE WHO MADE THE GAME WHAT IT WAS - GREAT!
