No sound in DMute Dungeons

No sound in DMute Dungeons

No matter what DMuted dungeons I load in with Dungeon Master PC 3.4 I get the message, as soon as I enter the dungeon, "No Sound".

Is this a common problem, is it something I am doing, are there any workarounds?

This shouldn't be anything to do with DMuted dungeons; it'll be a hardware issue on your machine. Do you get sound playing the normal game on a PC?

Yes I have an old SB 16 ISA and the sound works perfectly through DOS.

Curious! I can't imagine that a new DMuted dungeon would affect the games ability to play sound.

The only times I've had problems with sound were when I didn't have enough conventioanl memory in DOS mode running DM. How do you run the game normally? Try typing MEM /C /P at the dos prompt to see how much conventonal memory you have available and report back here.

Try Guilaume's few dungeons too, all those are constructed through non-DMute means, through his own DMEdit (plug plug go and try it) but are still new dungeons.

The Halk/original prison are straight copies of the original csb dungeons, so no alterations have been made to the code, as far as I know.

Personally when I have got sound in DM through DOS, I've normally had a DMute dungeon loaded as my save and dungeon.
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

Try with DM 3.4 English version if you were using the Multilingual.
