Does anyone know

Does anyone know - When you transfer your characters in DM to CSB on the Atari ST version, I know you transfer your skill levels, but do you also transfer your experience points? As a few of my characters are approaching the next skill level and if the experience points are not transferred then it will be quicker to carry on playing DM until they get to the next level. Thanks!

There is no reason it wouldn't be your experience points since its converting saved game to saved game
Do it and see i guess!
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

I'm not sure your XP are transfered. I may be wrong, but I think that one of my chars was unduly considered "expert" instead of "adept" wizard because he had a special object (Pendant Feral). Did I dream?

certain items boost your levels...this is artificial, not permenant, lose the item transfering, lose the level
unless you mean he was expert in csb because of the pendant, in which case that would almost prove the direct xp transfer : )

I remember that in my good ol' Amiga version the items were removed, when transfering characters from DM to CSB, but the boosted level from the pendant ferral and even from the firestaff remained.
This is nice at first, but a disadvantage on the long run, because you miss some possibility to raise your stats.
Besides I also think, that XP are retained. If you want to know for sure, do the following: Play DM for a while and save very often, until you rise a level. Then quit the game without saving and transfer the old savegame with the lower level. If you rise a level at the beginning of CSB, the XP transfer is proofed.
Parting is all we know from Heaven, and all we need of hell.

On the ST version at least, the firestaff +1 level bonus disappears when transferring.
But if a char in DM needs the Pendant Feral to be expert, and he is expert in CSB, naked, that would mean his level was transferred, not his XP.
Or maybe both are transferred...
