Wow, I played Dungeon Master as a kid for years. It was my favorite thing to do on my Atari ST. The mystery, the action, the excitment - the purple worms! Wow, what a game.
Anyway, I made it all the way to the end and fought Chaos - but I could never beat him. By that point the Atari was on its last legs and it would crash a lot, so I ended up getting frustrated and basically giving it up. The old machine is long gone now, but I find myself thinking about the old stone walls from time to time. And the knowledge that I never completed the quest after countless hours of game-play knaws at me like the feeling you get when you have to leave an item behind to make space for a new one.
ANYWAY: what happens at the end?!
Can someone tell me as vividly and as detailed as possible how Chaos is killed, what it looks like, what happens, how does the game end?
I eagerly await the answer to this life-long question.

Re: What happens?!
I'd recommend you to download DM here for MS-DOS or RTC-DM for Win at http://www.ragingmole.com/RTC or an emulated ST-Version like CSBWin and see for yourself, it is much more rewarding than being told.
But if you don't want to, tell me, and I'll post you next time what is happening.

Re: What happens?!
I'm sure someone has a savegame out there which is just before you kill chaos? :)
Personally I advise doing the whole game again from the start, you'll remember how great it was.

Yes, of course I have such a savegame, for PC-DM, and for RTC V0.21 for all modes of play (O-DM, RTC-DM and CSB). For RTC I also kept savegames ith the alternate ending.
