DM and me, my favorite characters

Post by Julian »

First I want to thank the designers of this website. I have played DM on my ATARI when I was a kid, and then found it for PC here. The addiction came back, there's no question about it. Thanks a lot, it's awesome to play it again!

I started with Halk, Elijah, Wu Tse and Tiggy and came to the "Treasure Store"-place in one big rush. Now I've two Artisan Wizards and one Adept Wizard (Tiggy). Question: Is there something higher than the Adept level? How many levels, what are they called?

Anyway, I've got a question for which I really need some help: In the one "Treasure Store" with the pressure plates, I have no trouble getting to the right side, but the left side - impossible. I've done it before, I just don't remember how. And the instructions on the map don't work for me. I could spend some time on it, but I'm worried that over that I get tired of DM. Anybody?

Ypou need to go to the right side first, there is a toggle trigger that opens one of the left side pits. Then walk along the central steps, back to the door, always tryign to get to the left hand side - eventually you shoudl be able to, and then just walk forwards, back tracking to toggle pis if needby
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE WHO MADE THE GAME WHAT IT WAS - GREAT!

It's me again, I started over with the Treasure Store and got the pressure plates done in the first attempt. My suspicion is that once you fail to do that room it's extremely hard or impossible to get it done in a second attempt. But thanks for your comments. I'm now in Level 8, struggling with those fireball things in the huge hall. Suggestions?

turn the fireballs of ;-)
walk around the hall, following one wall. in one corner, where the launcher is, you can turn of a teleportal which directs them into the room. then you wont have to fear them again :-)
and there is a nice weapon on this level, the delta, search well for it, its worth it.

Before you turn it off, use it: There is a pressure plate on the way to the delta, triggering the fireball launcher. Step on it many times, so that the fireballs will kill some mummies & skeletons in the void, then turn the initial spinner off.
Parting is all we know from Heaven, and all we need of hell.

The easiest way to turn the fireballs off is to enter the level from the stairs above and then drop down one of the many pits. Collect the Vi potions and then drop down the the remaining pit. Get the Staff of Mana, enter the teleporter and you will be staring straight at what you need to turn the balls of fire off. Easy, 30 seconds and a nice staff to blast them ghosts with.
