bonjour :)
You can find a new version of an embryo of DM for Atari computers or emulators
This version is now compatible with STeem (http://steem.atari.org): run it with TOS 2.06, 4Mo (no accessories nor auto files), enhanced screen 640*400*16c, 64 Mhz CPU, with DGEM repertory as hard disk.
It should works on PC also with Aranym (http://aranym.atari.org) or MagiC PC/Mac that are Atari emulators with multitasking capabilities.
Please read the txt and hyp (ST Guide) files to learn how to use the DGEM cache for fast reloadings.
Have fun :)

Re: DGEM 0.16 for Atari
It is nice to see another clone taking shape.
I have tested v0.16 with Steem and it seems promising. I had some crash problems before I configured Steem with the exact parameters that you give in your post.
Two little things: the "bip" sound each time you press a key is annoying. also, when you click between windows, you have to click twice: to give focus to the window and then to perform your action.

Thanks for the test and message :)
The most important is to set the max of memory, it takes 2Mo in 16 colors screen mode, and it will need more in the future. I noticed a crash under 640*400 and 800*600 under extended screen modes of STeem TOS 2.06. Seems to be a VDI - OS bug (display of object near you on the left).
For the first thing : sorry, I had no sound card on the test PC. Maybe you can desactive it in DGEM or STeem preferences. I'll try to correct it.
For the second thing : I can't do anything about it. In the old version of Atari TOS, you have to click in the window to top and manipulate it. Since TOS 4.04 or MiNT or MagiC, you can manipulate a window without topping it.
You can use the right click to swap the dungeon view / party window. I will implement the F1-F2-F3-F4 keys like in the orginal game.
Bye
