Warcry - no sound ?
Is it a problem with my soundcard or maybe Warcry sound is not implemented ? (If so, why ?) It doesn't work on any version of CSBWin.

It has no sound. Sorry...I just translated what was there. If
you can find a WarCry sound in the graphics file then we could
play it.

Re: Warcry - no sound ?
War cry should have a sound though. It does in DM. I'm not a computer smart person, but would it be possible to copy the sound from DM graphics and put in into the CSB program?

Re: Warcry - no sound ?
If someone can find the graphic I will attempt to put
it into CSBwin. Was it in the Atari version of DM? That
was too long ago for me to remember. Send it to me in
HEX or give me the byte address in the graphic file and
tell me which graphic file you found it in.
If all else fails, get your microphone out of the drawer and
record a 'warcry'.......EEEEIIIIII!......Send me the .wav
file.

Re: Warcry - no sound ?
From what i recall atari didn't have sound, did it?
That was amiga onwards (same with the horn blowing and being able to drink from fountains...i could be wrong, but i think that's all it is - oldest version)

Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

Re: Warcry - no sound ?
Apparently, the atari had less sounds than the amiga version.
And those I really miss in CSBwin are the sounds when monsters move. It gives different atmosphere in each level ...

Re: Warcry - no sound ?
I confirm too:
In Atari version, no sound for "warcry" or monsters moving.

Re: Warcry - no sound ?
Well, I don't know if I can suggest anything, but is it possible to add sounds from PC version of Dungeon Master (moving monsters, warcry) ?

Well...
It may not be a popular opinion, but I do like the game the way it is. The ST version had no sound when using the Horn or Warcry. Nor any sound when monsters moved, and it was not possible to drink from fountains. But to me that is the original version with all its nostalgy. I think it is good the way it is. Sorry!
My compliments to Paul!

he he... Not bad Beowuuf! I must admit that thought brings a special kind of mood and spirit to the game. I used to play it during the nights...unfortunately I never turned the light of so guess I missed the dark thing...well...Im scared of the dark, that might explain it...
