Hello :)
I think I found something that is missing in CSBuilt...
Here is an example :
Open the Dungeon.dat file of Dungeon Master with CSBuilt and check the
pressure pad at 1(25,15). It is described as :
- Operated by anything
- Message sent when anything presses on empty pad : SET
What is missing in the description of this pressure pad is :
- Message sent when "what was pressing on the pad" is removed : CLEAR
In the game, when you walk on this pad, the door at 1(27,14)
opens... but it will close as soon as you step off the pad. The door
will also open if you put a boulder on the pressure pad, and close if
you remove the boulder.
As you can't choose what happens when you remove "everything that was
pressing on a pressure pad operated by anything", you can't create
with CSBuilt a pressure pad like the one of this example.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I also found a small bug in CSBWin...
In Dungeon Master, the pressure pad at 1(23,22) works like this :
- when something is on the pressure pad, the text on the wall at
1(21,22) is visible (this famous wall that says that it says
nothing :)).
- when nothing is on this pressure pad, the text is invisible.
(this is the same kind of pressure pad than the one in the example
above, but with a "text on a wall" for target ^^).
In CSBWin, here is what happens :
- when you walk on this pressure pad, or put an item on it, nothing
changes : if the text was visible, it is still visible; if it was
not, it is still not.
- when you step off the pad, or remove the item you did put on it,
the state of the text changes : if it was visible, it becomes
invisible and vice versa.

Re: A small missing thing and a small bug
Hmmmm. Very interesting. Thanks for the explicit
problem report. I have made a note of these problems
and will get around to them in a couple of days at
most. Right now I am working on a problem sent to
me via email. The two programs, CSBwin and CSBuild,
are actually quite stable and rather basic errors like
the two you describe seem unlikely and they definitely
will require a bit of time to understand and be sure we
are doing the right thing.
The patients are generally in good health and we don't
want to make them sick. "Primum non nocere."
