RTCED SUGGESTION: Modify editing behaviour

Post by Gambit37 »

I like the Shift button for editing but could you also do this:

Implement RMB clicking on items to automatically bring up the edit window. This will only be possible if you change the wall/floor drawing behaviour described in my other post.

yeah I was thinking this as well.. left click to place things and right click to edit them. I didn't want to say it first though.. I had made so many other suggestions.. but I was hinting at it by suggesting you put walls into the object vault as well. ;)

I dont like the idea of the walls being in the vault as it would take a really long time to place an entire maze down (1 tile placed at a time).

What about I reverse the behaviour of the shift key so that editing items is the primary action and wall placement the second.

In fact. If you have to hold the shift key down, this will also fix the bug with the wall being changed into a floor when you place a wall item?

Or I could fix it as it is and then make it a preference you can set in the INI file?

Preferences anyone?

Andy

Scrap all that.

LMB toggles wall/floor

RMB edits items on a square

Dragging walls unaffected

Bug Fixed with walls disappearing when placing objects on them.

Sweet.
