GAME: Ghost player can activate stuff

Post by Gambit37 »

Ver: 0.28
Bug: While messing around with AndyBoy's editor, I created a floor trigger that opened a door, and the ghost character (i.e. -- no champions yet chosen) triggered the door and it opened. This is only if the OPBY is set to ALL; setting to PARTY (as in the DM Hall of Champions) is fine.

I prefer this, there may be times when you want the ghost to have some small powers in the dungeon before game start (closing off option, generating other effcts dependign on where things go).
This was how DM did it too, btw - the ghost operated all triggers too, just not party triggers

Oh, I didn't realise that -- I thought the ghost couldn't do anything except trigger wall items (mirrors and switches within them).

In DM the ghost/Theron can't trigger wall objects except champion mirrors - the CSB trick to block Lor, etc needs characters pressing on the mirrors to work, i believe

Used the ghost/floor trigger thing for a puzzle in the team dungeon - if you didn't do it with the ghost, you needed a boots of speed party instead to get the same swiftness to complete it

I'd also say keep it. It's different from the behaviour before but allows some mutilations to the dungeon a player will have to adjust to. Since it does no harm... it's sort of an additional feature ;o)
