Armor&wounds&lightning bolt effect

Post by zoom »

Your heros get hit and they take damage;
Is armor protecting you from wounds (damage which you cannot "sleep away" and which leaves a stat decrease to cope with..)?
I know that armor is lowering the health loss (not of poison or poison clouds though), but I´m not sure if it improves the chances for avoiding wounds; This would make armor important.
or maybe vitality is doing the difference?!

Ghosts seem to do no wounding at all;(has nothing to do with vitality/luck)
could it be that the possible places of the resulting wound (head, feet,..), if any, vary from monster to monster ?

Lightning bolts
When cast facing a solid wall, mon oh kath ra does have a greater impact on body parts compared to a mon ful ir (this could depend on anti fire)
Yet, the best fireshields seems to protect you from lightning as well.

so Lightning Bolts maybe make monsters weaker, changeing the monster´s effectiveness, going through armor and hampering their attack ferocity(they are wounded now)
(similarity to Beserk maybe ?)

Are lightning bolts for "finishing off" creatures, once they are weak?
