What is the minimum amount of items you have to use to win DM? In CSB it's 12 items, including keys and corbums, but in DM i'm guessing more like 30, probably more. All those gold keys at the start, RA keys, firestaff......maybe i'll try and figure it out. Then try to make a game.
Also what is the minimum amount of monsters that you have to kill?Something like 5-10 i think, that would make for a much harder game.

i made a sheet of it ages ago, and it's somethign like that
a chopped door here, a purloined key there, and you will be amazed at how little you actually need
minimum monsters...well, it's possibly zero! i can't think of any area where you are completely blocked in by them...though places liek the end of four would be very, very, very hard to do by luring the four groups far enough away

level 1: a few keys (iron, solid, emerald, b, gold and 1-2 others), copper coin
level 2: 4 gold keys (leave out the vault and the chambers), (ra key)
level 3: 1 chopped door (axe), 1 mummy, 1 bow (i suggest using the gold key from the drain to activate the shortcut, which isn't necessary, though)
level 4: 1 gold coin, 1 blue gem, mirror of dawn
level 5: 3 iron keys (i suggest using the one from the riddle room, which makes 1 item extra, in the "ignore"-area you might die very propable), 1 solid key
level 6 (tomb): 4 ra-keys, ruby key, firestaff, 1 master key (you will bring 3 ra, 1 ruby, 1 master)
level 7: solid key (i hardly suggest the skeleton-key, too)
level 8: corbum, (ra-key), i suggest the skeleton-key
level 9: 2* key of b, magnifier?
level 10: solid key, iron key, (i suggest using this skeleton key, it's easy to get), cross key, (ruby key)
level 11: topas key, emerald key, (master key), skeleton key (get it one level before)
now you got all keys needed to get the firestaff, use the skeleton key near the master key, stop at the rat-level to drink something and go to the tomb. the easiest way to lord chaos is using the winged key (it's the safest way in every case).
finish: square key, zokathra-spell, lots of luck
i think, the only monster you really have to kill is the prisoned mummy...
items in brackets: you find them here, need them elsewhere.

You have to kill an animated armour on level 12 and flying eyes on level 10 aswell. BTW, i made a mistake with CSB, you need 15 items. I might play through a game to get an exact plan and see how hard it would be to do this. I think things like the worms at the end of level 03 and the munchers later on might be very hard, especially without saving. Thanks for the list sucinum
