Ok. I have wondered ever since my party was cursed years ago on my Amiga DM game...
On the Rat level. There is a chest with a gem and a scroll that says "Put that back" I'm curious if this is the cause of a curse to the party.
I had rid my party of all inventory including clothes, Stamina was 100% but the load was still yellow and running became sluggish.
Has anyone else experienced this?

The chest/gem isn't cursed, it's a puzzle - if you throw the green gem down the pit to the floor below where it was initially ie put the gem back, then the gate opens.
Most poeple just jump down that pit anyway : )
Soudns like you either a) hit some form of bug, where for whatever reason the party weight went out of sync and so even with zero possessions you would still register weight, or b) you were injured and didn't notice - limb damage reuces your movement

The code in CSBwin had a bug that caused the total
weight to go negative. That looked very big! I don't
remember if it was a bug I introduced or one that I
translated.
The load is maintained incrementally. By adding or
subtracting as items are added or dropped. So if it
ever goes wrong it is wrong forever.
