There is a page on the Encyclopaedia that tells you all you need:
http://dmweb.free.fr/DMNDownloads.htm
The only current location for the game itself is on eMule -- which can be a bit of a pain, but is worth a try. One day I hope to be able to afford a webspace where I can host all these large files, but it's a long way away...

I'm sorry for this spam, I just realized this info is spread all over the board...Just where can I get some guide to get (and run) it?
Nexus is interesting in the way it shows DM in 3D, though the models are not the best ever.
I wonder how it will function on my hardware
creating balance since 1987

It was made in 1997, so it obviously won't look as good as modern games.
The game itself plays very slowly -- you need to be quite patient to play it. Plus, under emulation, there are some problems -- for example, you can't see the spell runes for a spell that you're casting and champion portraits don't show up. But despite this, it *is* playable -- I played it all the way through. It's kind of enjoyable but I wouldn't be keen to play it again -- too slow all round!
Having said that, I need to play it again in the future so that I can map it for my website!
