question about configuration

Post by Asgon VIII »

Hi,

Now that I have finished RTC-DM, I moved over to CSB4win because
I find it even slightly more fascinating. Just replayed DM on
CSB4win again and the only thing left to do before I fuse Chaos
is to kill the demons.

Then I will move to CSB,for the first time in my life !
I actually bought the game for Amiga, but was disappointed
since I never got anywhere and gave up.
But the encyclopaedia was not around then... :)
(btw later my disks have died)

Ok,enough for the nostalgia :)
I set up the game in seperate directories, and launch via
shortcut, with the size=verylarge parameter and maximized window,
it just works great. Redefined all the keys to my liking.

It's fine as it is now, but I have two tiny questions:

- are the command-line switches (also for config-file
respectively) listed somewhere ?

I guessed some from the bat-files,but is there a complete list?
Just asking because the screen is in the top left corner and I
wonder if it's possible to position it more centered. Also volume
settings ,DM-rules etc would be nice to set beforehand.
I browsed Paul Stevens web-space (interesting!) but could not
find info on it, so any link to a txt-file or so would help.
(using VERSION 9.6 plus 16)

- are the dat-files for the version downloadable at the
encyclopaedia still up to date ? I use them with the
newer version.

Only thing left is to thank Paul Stevens for his super-stellar
efforts. Thank You !

Regards,

Sorry. The command-line switches and config file
parameters are not documented.

I will try to update the config file to contain
documentation for both. Such a pain.

Cool :)

That's what I was looking for. I will try to figure out the view-
commands for my 1024x768 Screen. It seems to be
hexadecimal, so I'm not sure if I can do it, but I like to play
around anyway ;).

I posted a config.txt with documentation of the
command-line and config options.

It does not tell very much but all the options are listed
and it provides a place to start asking questions.
It seems to be
hexadecimal, so I'm not sure if I can do it,

There are 10 types of people in the world, those who get binary, those who don't, and those who understand trinary

Trinary... aren't that bits with the states "yes", "no" and "maybe"? ;-)

possibly? : )

I seem to recall something to do with floating input systems that use 0, 1 and Z for the three states
