About space Dungeon master?

Post by Dadoo »

Hello, i'm doing an attempt to write the space dungeon master that was planed by FTL, but never realized.

I'm trying to collect any hints or partial informations /rumors to help me in following the good path.

I already remember some infos about this I foud in a old computer paper related (joystick) in France.

This game will be webbased and will run into Ie and Mozilla for sure, other may be, on windows, linux, apple...

I had a Waine message 3 years ago, but i was impressed and did not ask anything about this.

Thanx,

Dadoo

Have you played Captive? If not, you should. I believe you can download it from http://www.the-underdogs.org. (That's where I got it the first time anyway.) I could never figure out what to do once I reached the planet, but it seemed like a really awesome game. There's also a sequel, or so I've heard. Never played it. Maybe I'll sniff around for a copy right now...

Hi Dadoo

Would you be able to scan the information you found and make it available somewhere? I've never heard of this 'Space' dungeon Master that you speak of -- even the FTL people I've spoken to never mentioned it!

Hi!
I've tried to find the right paper into my oldest french 'TILT' and 'joystick' computer magazine collection. It took me one day, but I didn't succed, sorry...

In fact, I wrote the first Dungeon master Lecacy clone, but It was with the IE4+ technology and suffered lot of bad things about downloading graphics, not running well under opera and netscape and lot of crap things...

I'm making a new engine with really improved coding that works into all browsers in the same way.

I thought it will be nice to realise a space dungeon master. But now I think I will use classical graphics to write the game, then may be change them to something less medieval!!!

I'm not so sure anymore.

This is a simple screenshot for you to see the visible improvment
