Would it be possible in CSBuild to have a 'blank' option, where you could simply revert any tile to a wall or space without having to manually delete every entry on that tile? Or even a total level 'blank'?

Deleteing items from a single cell is a matter of one click per item.
Easy to do 3 clicks per second. 30 items in 10 seconds. How often do
you have to do this? It sounds like it will cost me more time to
implement than it will cost you to delete the items yourself.
You also want to clear all items out of all cells on a level? What about the
other things associated with a level? Allowed monsters? Floor Decorations?
Footprints? Random floor decorations? Cell types? DSAs? etc? I could certainly
clear the items and set all the cellTypes to be 'wall' but I don't think it would
be 'un-doable'.

The idea was so I could easily 'paint' over an area I wanted to blank. 3 clicks per second, yes if you are lucky, 3 tiles, or more when holding down mouse button, per second, nicer. But there is a problem when you 'right click' on a tile to edit it. Now, when you 'let go' of the mouse button and the pointer is hovering over one of the 'boxes' in 'edit open room', you get an options box appear whether you like it or not. So that delete one blank tile has become two clicks already, and now you have to look around for what needs deleting!

We could 'Clear' one cell at a time. Perhaps with a special 'tool'.
Or perhaps by holding down the 'Control' or 'Alt' keys during
a left or right click.. So it would get there with one 'click' per cell
and would be un-doable.
A 'Control-Right-Click' would be my choice. Clear cell to empty wall
with no flags.
===========================================
By the time I implement this (a couple of weeks at the minimum)
are you still going to want it? Or ar you going to be finished?
In other words, if I spend a couple weeks implementing such a
thing is it going to save a couple weeks of effort on somebody's
part? I definitely don't like doing a week's work to save someone
a day's work.
It may seem like an easy thing but I have to worry about un-doing
the changes, inconsistent dungeon levels (pits above, stairs, etc).
Simply deleting the items (without changing the cell type) would be
significantly easier for me because the basic operations are already
defined.

Well, I guess I will be using CSBEdit for a long time to come, but you are right in saying that I might not need the feature in a couple of a weeks. Might be handy in the future though. Just a suggestion for convenience really but might be a worthwhile addition to your next release.
But, if it takes two weeks to implement, then really don't bother, your time will be a lot more useful doing other stuff! You could make a dungeon in two weeks!
