Import Portriats in CSBuild

Post by Gambit37 »

What is the Import Portraits function for in CSBuild? It does nothing useful as far as I can tell, and expects a very odd sized bitmap, 40x116 which is not a portrait size (32x29).

If you use Export Portraits you get a bitmap that size with the colour palette running down the side. Doesn't seem at all useful.

Can you clarify this please Paul?

Why certainly. It was to be used to modify the characters in
a saved game, not the portraits seen in the picture frames.

It exports all four character portraits. (29 times 4 = 116)
It also adds a bitmap of the palette at the right so that you
can use it to pick colors for editing.

It imports a bitmap exactly like the exported one.

The idea was to export the portraits from a saved game, edit the
bitmap as desired, and import it to be used during gameplay.

I'll see if I can do that.
