lol, douglas adams used the old martial arts thing of using the weight of a person/problem against itself. That's how he invented the 'heart of gold' since he'd shoved his heros out of an airlock with no possibility of survival.
How about a 'design your own dungeon' level? It is a totally blank level, but wherever the party steps, they leave a wall. As they try and explore the area, they are creating their own maze. Against the wall or in certain areas could be puzzles you can solve to release areas if you trap yourself. Maybe a selection of wall levers release different monsters, and also open obstructions - you can populate the level as you see fit, dependign on which route you want to take to solve the weird level.
*shrug* or you could carry on takign the DM2 mushrooms : )

Now curious you should mention this, as I have been thinking of creating something of this nature. At the moment I am constructing a 'final' level that changes its appearence according to many things you may and may not have done, important or not. This creates a unique level everytime you play the dungeon and coupled with 'creating yor own maze' could end up being very interesting. This is not easy! DM2 mushrooms?! Its 'extract of Zyx's brain' that I need!
And funny you should mention this, as i was thinking on the random dungeon thing again after sucinum mentioned dungeon hack recently, or posted there, and was thinking of this addition, where picking up an apple or not openign a door in ordinary palces would alter a level later. I almost posed something about that, but then scrapped it at the last second instead of submitting.
And lol, good luck with all your fun ideas then! : )

Oops, dragging the thread OT again.
Anyway, congratulations Gambit, you seem to have created a monster thread that has beaten in every statistic the great search for the Holy Scroll!
CAn anyone read the 'Inquisitors? Many! Falchions? None.' without making it sound like a football score announcement?

Heh, I really didn't anticipate this would be so popular. Thought people would get bored after a couple of pages!
Love that football score -- it's little odd things like that popping up in the middle that give it a quirky humour.
Merry Christmas everyone. I'm off to get fat and farty. See you all in a few days!

Yeah, places tend to have really strange names when there is nothing around. My neighbor village is called Ginsham. I can only guess at its meaning but i think it means roughly translated "we have goose here". And "Hornau" means " meadow with horns (of cows) or maybe the feet of cows on it...."

Hihi, pronounciation is hard
e.g. worchester sauce is pronounced apparently sth. like "Wustar sauce" ??
some city names are problematic, too .
edinborough is called "edinburg", well that is sth. you can get used to,
and Leicester is called "lester" ---> i always assumed those two to be diffferent cities!
............................
Yeah, i personally like the threat! A great thing.

"Disappearing bungalows!" said Boris entering prefabriacted lemons with flammable boxers undone, revealing Christmas crackers.
"Boris! Your baubles hang deliciously. Shave prompty or scratch furiously for munchers." Stamm warned
does this sound dirty to anyone else? He Christmas cracker and baubles are hanging out... "deliciously" ... and he's being asked to.... shave.. as he might have "munchers" (crabs?)
makes me wonder , intended? or innocent?
