flipping coins

Post by Florent »

Is there any way to gain XP by just flipping a coin ? The charts say the XP gain for this is 0, but I think I read a post where someone mentionned actually gaining priest levels just by flipping a coin... So is it really possible and how ?

I'm pretty sure if the exp gain is 0, you can't gain a level off of it. I think it was just an example of a simple action that beowuuf used. I may be wrong, though, I'm no expert. :)

you can level up ninja skills by flipping a coin...but not sure in which versins of DM/CSB...and i'm sure sure it is tiny xp gain

there is a CSBwin version 3++ on the encyclopaedia that says the experience gain in real time

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure I read in the DME that coin flipping is a hidden priest skill thing.

Yes, according to the DM-CSB Encyclopaedia, it's a hidden Priest skill (#12 aka Priest 2), but the XP gain is 0.

Additionnally, it seems that the "flip coin" action is the only action linked to skill #12, making it impossible to raise that particular skill level... Strange.

Re Coin Flip/War Cry

I'm not sure about the Coin Flip (i always used it as a decision tool chosing which fork to travel 1st)

But i did gain a Fighter Level using the war cry agianst screamers (it seems to act like the Horn of Fear type thing, the monsters start running away)
I don't engage in a game of wits with an unarmed man

War Cry definitely gives levels. This is the best way to train back row wizards when you don't want to waste mana. As for coin flipping, I didn't even know you could do it until I read this thread.

Yeah, warcry makes monsters run away, and gives experience to both fighter and priest levels if you're yelling at a monster, just fighter (I think) if you're yelling at the air.

Nope : Warcry gives Experience to Priests in DM and Fighters in CSB. Simple as that ! 8)
