beget wrote:Is it just me, or does it seem like sleeping is taking too long time. Stamina at least goes up too slowly, and so seem mana and life.
I had to re-read it three times before convincing me that Beget was not, I repeat, was NOT talking about real life.

The mana part was suspicious, though.

I have that problem too. Whenever I sleep, my mana regains really slowly. That makes it more difficult for me to cast Mon Ful Ir's at school every day. :)

glad this post resurfaced, there were a few quotes that have broguht a smile to my face, but forgot to look for the thread:
Paul Stevens wrote: COL

Stable release. Wishful thinking with Zyx in the wheel-house and me
down here in the boiler room.
PaulH wrote: The secret to eternal youth is a combination of radiation and alcohol. The radiation diddles with your DNA and makes the cells last three times as long, while alcohol preserves your brain and organs.

Playing Conflux has quite the opposite effect.

The humblest of dungeon denizens has the most powerful and insidious of attacks. I dread to think the results of facing a Trolin after a curry.

this is what happens when your diet is mold food left lying around a dungeon - severe gastric problems!

no wonder all the dungeon critters are so angry...if only you could arm yourselves with ancaseltser or somehting, and spread some relief and happiness aroudn the dungoen...that would be a happier, less violent game...if only...

Then Lord Chaos would probably just employ some Bile Demons instead...

And there is something delightful about you creating a perfect quote of the week quote diretcly in the quote of the week thread - saves so much effort, just had to frame it! - b.

I think it's delightfully circular, having a quote about OT-ness in the quote of the week thread that originated from an OT posting in the quote thread.
It's like a self correcting system!

So, who hates Mophus? : )

Enough of the circular quoting .. it was fun, but life moves on! (though I must say, being quoted here fulfills a lifelong dream *sniff*)

Anyway, for some reason, this one just cracked me up. I'm picturing Paul like one of those crazies on the street corner, going nuts yelling at this screamer while men in white lab coats restrain his arms and slowly drag him away to a room with padded walls...
PaulH wrote:Trying to gain levels in the HoC might take a while! I'd at least wait til you get to that 1st screamer. Poor screamer. Every bugger that plays Dm just screams at him. WELL NOW YOU KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE, YOU GREEN SLIMEBALLS!

Right, where's my medication?
Or else he's just a bit bitter... funny, I never though screamer noises were THAT annoying. Kind of cute, like a chicken "bwak", actually.
