There's some kind of lizard (might even be that one - it looks like it) which lives in the desert, and has the ability to absorb water through its skin like blotting paper, since the ability to "drink" it properly would be rather useless in a place where the water's never deep enough to do so.

Thats the same lizard! Uses capillary action. I'd love one as a pet. No more ant infestations.
