I just watched the Yorkshire flood scenes on the news. This type of torrential downpour never used to happen in England (just endless gentle rain). Climate change is for real, yessirree.
Meanwhile down here in the deep south it's like the Sahara Desert - uninterrupted blazing sunshine and the ground is like concrete. And it *is* supposed to rain this week being the start of Wimbledon fortnight, instead the forecast is hot and sunny until the weekend when there may be a few showers, possibly.

Well I'm in the lovely, sunny, hot, boiling, baking, scorching, roasting, burning southeast, where it was horribly horribly humid today. Again. What joy, to sit at the computer trying to play someone's dungeon and be all sweaty and sticking to the mouse and keyboard while bog all breeze comes in through the open window a very short distance behind me and to my left.
Bring on a blizzard or something, PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE

Lol, well I was on a train in Cumbrai for a job interview while you lot were skivving off, with your flashign and your chatting, I will have you know *hides the Stonehenge people stalking gear* I did Aberdeen to Barrow-in-furness and back in a single day - who says our rail system is crappy! Seven trains all told, and I didn't miss connections nor be late for the interview. Of course the odds were very, very high of both happening! Gotta live dangerously : )
And to cap it all it was a great day sun-wise too
And there was one massive thumder roar last week for us here - like a solid 5 - 10 second defening thing, then nothing - back to sun.
