Do we have to censor the word Avatator like we did C*rol V*rdm*n?

Interesting about "chav" - they suggested it was from the Romany word "chavi" meaning child, but I thought it was originally an acronym for "Council House And Violent" for badly behaved youngsters but later became more closely identified with the tasteless clothing they wore.

Talking of things naff (another word with interesting etymology - apparently from the gay slang Polari) a quick 5 minutes of retributive joy can be had here http://hatethatfrog.desktopcreatures.co ... rog+Axel+F - my best was just a helmet over 90 metres.

This game is awesome! Just blasted the freak 92 metres which has made my day, punk.

I remember at school we used to call younger kids 'chabs'.

You git (in rimmers voice). I'll be up all night now blowing the thing away.

Yes, some of the additions are just plain stupid. Some are phrases. Which are composed of individual words which are in the dictionary anyway.

 My poor friends ! I only hear that ring tone every once in a while when watching cable TV at a friends... I can't imagine how it must feel to actually hear it on the street all the time. Reminds me of that English hidden camera show where the guy had a HUGE fake cell phone with an abusively loud "basic n*kia" ringtone, and would start yelling into his phone to annoy people around him. I can't help laughing whenever I hear that n*kia ringtone now !

*HELLO? I'M IN THE LIBRARY! WHAT? NO! IT'S RUBBISH!*

For a while a few years back, everyone was copying that. Sitting on the beach after work having a beer, a ton of phones would ring with that ring and everyone would scream into them. Got very dull, very quick...

I had the Axel F ringtone BEFORE that sodding frog adopted it! As we all know (hopefully), it is from Beverly Hills Cops and composed by the legend that is Harald Faltemeyer (also some Top Gun stuff).

The sound effect used by the Crappy...err sorry, Crazy Frog is taken from a website tha's a couplke of years or so old...
http://www.frenzy.com/~jester/racecar.html
I lasted about erm...ooh...maybe one second...ish. I suppose this site would be funnier if the Crazy Frog hadn't been created and used the same sound effect :P/. Although saying that, I had another go at the Insanity Test a few weeks ago and I did still find it funny. I don't know WHY it's funny...just something about the picture and the sound effect combined...

Gambit : I imagine how dull it can get... As dull as that crazy frog ringtone right ? ;) Anyway I was in France so nobody was doing that, at least not on purpose, so I could still enjoy the irony of it.

Link posted to me from a friend...

Showed it to PaulH yesterday in the chat room and he wondered if it was edited. No, those sounds are real. They really can learn stuff like that. A famous example is a grey called Alex.

That's interesting, Wismerhill... Also, since many people die in their beds, we should stop providing beds until we receive a sign from God. Or a sudden stroke of common sense. Or until a scientific investigation leads to new drugs sold by the laboratory who financiated the investigation, with some governmental fines on the computer clubs to obtain the support of the authorities.
Seriously, this is very interesting on a psychological level, yet quite frightening to watch the reaction of people. "A special medical commission will decide if playing computer games could have led to his death." People who cannot control their seek of pleasure do have a problem; I don't think the source of pleasure to be relevant.

Yeah, you could get addicted to playing football or running and give yourself a heart attack or something :P.
Mind you, you could probably do the same by coming round a corner in a DM dungeon and being teleported into a square surrounded by Scorpions and Dragons :P.

Obviously the tax on computer games doesn't bring in as much money as alcohol and cigarettes

I wonder what percentage of all countries populations are functionally addicted aswell as addicted to something

OK, I know I will sound like a ranting troll: the training of this parrot is simply disgusting (though amazing). Animals are not toys or tools to make money; can't we have another relation to wilderness than taming, taking, using? I hate AnimalPlanet, I can't help it. The few this channel teaches us isn't worth the many crimes it endorses.

Do you agree with the training of police dogs or guide dogs? This is an interesting subject. Like eating pigs. If we didn't eat them, we wouldn't have any here.
