You don't stop the fireballs with the switch, you are only turning off the fireballs, just disabling the teleporter so it won't go aroudn the level

The fireballs are triggered by something totally different... randomly triggered, infact...

At the south-east of the same level, there's a secret area with some sort of endless corridor. If you manage to find the way out, you will arrive in a room with some skeletons, some mummies and a pressure plate. Walking on that pressure plate will turn the launcher off -I think-. (I'm not very sure of that).

Please forgive my english. My first name is really John, but I'm French...

No, actually the monsters are triggering the shooter randomly by stepping on that plate - kill the monsters, stop the fireball launcher

OK !
Excuse me, you're probably right.
Thats was just a theory, and I wasn't sure.
But what you says makes sense.

Thank you, I've learned something new about this game.

I'm playing theses games for more than 16 years, and I'm still learning things about them !

Thank you beowuuf !

I should have known this...
There's no "click" when the party is walking on that plate... I wondered why.
So it is only triggered by monsters...

I never thought about that, and now it seems so obvious.

I am unforgivable. Shame on me.
I'm upset. Really.

This forum is great, and very useful.

Thanks.

Some of these secrets only become known when you look at the map through an editor such as DMute, DMBuild or CSBuild ; )

And sometimes even us supposed 'old-timers' still regularly forget! I do all the time!

And then there are the people like me who will NEVER fully understand what exactly goes on in Level 1 of CSB, no matter how many hours I look at it in CSBuild...
