How do I cast spells?

Post by scooter22 »

New player here... Here's my problem.... I found scrolls with the little symbols on them and try to cast spells, but the symbols arent there... If I click on a symbol I dont need to use, the second set of symbols shows up, with the one I need... Im lost.... Thanks

Are you playing RTC-DM? If you are then you have to inscribe runes from the scrolls into the spellbook. Do this by opening the book (place it in a character's hand) and clicking the rune scroll onto the open pages.
If you play DM-Original you don't have this restriction and can cast whatever runes you like as long as you have the mana to do so.

the first set of runes are power runes.
try the one on the left, it´s the weakest power level, for a start-

you already realized, the actual spell is determined by the runes that come after the power runes.
all need a powerrune at the start, and some have a total of 2 runes, others use more- up to four.

then to release the spell , click on all the runes you had just cast /line below runes= . If you are not high enough level , nothing except for a text message on the bottom line of the dungeon view will appear..
