Level 3 time is of the essence

Post by scooter22 »

Hi,

In this room, no matter what I do, Im not fast enough to get through the door... Using the arrow keys or mouse doesnt work on my laptop... The up and down keys move forward and back, and the left and right keys turn the party 90 degrees... But I cant move sideways??? Does it only work on an amiga? Ive tried all the other letters and numbers... they dont control movement.... Help please... Thanks

Use the numpad...I forget if it's the top six or bottom six keys (is different depending on whether youa re using RTC or CSBWin) but they map to the six directional arrows to control movement of the party. Also if you are moving too slowly despite this, check that your party isn't encumbered, ie with their weight in the yellow. Having low stamina or carrying too much can cause this.

If you do not have a num pad, click the button with your cursor(touchscreen =mousecursor on laptop?), position as fast as possible the cursor of your "mouse" over the "turn 90 deg. left" button and clickit , press the exact number of moves it takes to reach the wall with the forward key on keyboard(do not bang into wall) and while doing so, you should place the cursor on the turn 90° right button, which you press followed by an immediate forward key pressing.
Maybe you have to cross hands...
If the wall closes and you are standing on the wall´s spot, you can´t be killed ..
breathe in before you start, (decrease game speed if you play csbwin ).
wish you luck hope that helps; there is a similar procedure necessary at level 4... :)

You don't need to do 'time is of the essense' anyway, as you do not need all the keys

Are you playing CSBwin? In that case, in the config.init, you could remap the keys.
