And yes, The PC game has an animation at the end rather than the simple 'well done people, zap zap zap bang*
i was playing Amiga version 2.0. in the end you see the characters back in the mirrors with their stats, which were not accurate by the way, this seems to be some kind of bug.

so now it is Chaos Strikes Back... i will have to do this on PC via emulation, which i don´t really know much about yet.

It is pretty easy Kebes. Just download the latest version of CSBWin from dianneandpaul.net and then start the file PlayCSBAtari.bat. Have fun with Chaos Strikes Back, and tell us how it is going.

Umm, by 'not accurate' you might find things like the firestaff and the pendant feral are boosting your levels, and various items are boosting your other stats - the end game stats are minus these artificial inflations

Otherwise this would be a 2.0 bug that I'm sure someone like Gambit or Christophe could illuminate upon

And yes, playing CSBwin is by far the easiest emulation, and is as easy as singing wisbit all day... I mean...it's easy

Froud wrote:Also in my defence ! I tried years ago to complete DM without going up any levels at all. Just dodging and using gates and stuff (along with magic boxes) to do any necessary killing. Just a couple of spells needed along the way. I think I did it it too though it was in 1989 or something so Im a bit hazy on the details. Either did it or was damn close !
Now I'd like to know how exactly you got past the Stone Golems without
using any spells or abilities (which would wouldn't have anyway for that
matter :)). I can't image the magic boxes plus gate action would suffice
to kill them off.

Ignore them? Pfft : ) Healing potions, empty hand, just punch the suckers to death and cast shield spells to reduce the effects of a few of the blows too

True, with punching golems to death you are in the very real danger of leveling up and also hurtng your hand

And the charatcers might gain some levels/health too

Yeah, I usually ignore them too as they are boring to fight.

I fight those in the way of the Inquisitor. Okay so I only really get to use the bloody thing on the Dragon, but still, it's a funky wep and I like to get it :D.

When I want the inquisitor I sometimes lead one Golem right down to the room where the Turquise and Ra keys are and lock him im. Slow process ? Can be but backing off a few steps and then sleeping to speed him up works quite well. And mis-timing how long you sleep can be very painful or fatal with heroes who have no level increases !
