Hello,

I am new here so hello again. I hope someone can answer my question.

Ive been playing DM RTC for about amonth now and heve reached level nine! Im a bit slow but Im enjoying myslef. I used to have this on the Atati ST when I was about 11 and loved it. I didnt get very far back then...

I was wondering if there is a point to the spell book. I find it easier to remember the spells than to remember what spell I entered into the book (i hope you understand). Therefore the book seems a bit pointless.

Is there more than two pages also?

spellbook is needed to collect the runes, this is a special feature in RTC to make the game harder i.e. you cannot cast a spell without the appropriate runes.
in original DM, all runes are available at the beginning, so you can cast fireballs (FUL IR) on level 1, while the scroll containing the IR rune is in only found at level 7 !
of course there are only two pages, which is suficient to display the 24 runes..

Heh, plus it forces you to use *other* spells for a change. Poison ball and poison cloud became my friends in RTC-DM.
