[Done for V0.38] RTCEd mouse wheel

Post by Lunever »

I know it's really not very important - anyway: George, can you make the RTC-Editor allow to scroll the dungeon displayed and the level list by using the mouse wheel?

Should be fine - what do you mean by "dungeon displayed" though?

I think Lunever means the main map display -- if it's bigger than the window, you get scroll bars -- in this case, the mouse wheel would be useful for panning around (up/down).

I'm not bothered by using the mouse wheel for the list of levels -- I'd rather be able to use the pgdown/pgup keys from the standard view instead of having to click the stairs icons or go into another screen.

Hmm - the pageup/down etc keys are already used for navigating the list of tile contents (the left hand pane).

Could use the +/- keys though?

Oh, I didn't realise that -- thought the left hand pane was cursor up/down?

+/- would be useful though.

Hmm, anyone remeber unnmaedbone ad his java editor. He added my suggestions for mouse wheel to his project, sadly now seemingly dead.

Wheel alone zoomed in and out, and with ctrl held it switched level. The latter was used because his trigger target choosing system was "live" and didn't rely on a separate window to select the level and target. It also streamlined copy paste activities somewhat too :D If suggestions are being taken for editor functionality I do have a couple but I'll wait for GG to make a request. Engine first :D

Very good. Is it possible to have the 4th and 5th mouse button do the same as the +/-key shortcut?

you would probably have to use your mouse software for that Lunever.
