DM end movie

Post by Lunever »

Once again upon fusing Chaos I had to notice something really amiss in RTC: The end movie.

As far as I know it has been extracted in the past from FTL-DM, so it should be possible to implement it. I know it's crappy low-res grafix, but it's just part of DM and rewards the player for successfully saving the world, so it really should be displayed after the Grey Lord's little speech.

It's part of PC DM, not part of Atari or Amiga - as an amiga veteran I must admit the slow end movie annoyed me rather than the little text 'well done people!' moving on to the stats

It was nice to see it once to see all the happy people and the firestaf distruction, after that...bored : )

If there are the ability to play movies, then the ability to skip them with a mouse press would also be needed I reckon

Agreed, they should be of course skipable by performing a mouse click or pressing ESC or anything else. But end movies should be inlcuded.

Lol, and let's face it, if there is the ability to run end movies introduced, then there is the ability to play during game cut scenes too : )

Perhaps there could be the option to launch an swf (Flash) file upon victory? You could probably create an unspeakably naff victory scene in about 400KB

I still think a Dm version of that with bobbing golems (the shift club walk they do), screamer then big horrible worms would be cool
