The average RTC character developes different stats from the average FTL character, most values will be lower than in FTL.
Since rising stats is dependant on random factors, it is difficult to judge for a player, how much the average increase for a certain level and character is.
To have a better means of recording, I'd like to have a character developement statistix tool implemented into the game, where you can not only look at the characters current stats, but also at the characters stats at previous levels.

Re: character developement statistix
I don't agree that a tool like this is necessary, or even that useful.
Dungeon Master was considered a role-playing game, but FTL went to great lengths to avoid making it feel like one - or leat a traditional paper-based RPG. Their whole philosophy was to make all the boring number crunching and stat manipulation invisible to the player. Besides, I think half the fun of these games is the mystery involved in the game invisibly assigning experience, skills, and so on. Don't you think it would be boring if you knew exactly when your characters are about to gain another level?

Re: character developement statistix
Maybe so, but RTC it still a test game in developement, and I feel, that it does not have the same balance in character developement, that the original FTL game had.
An statistical record would make it easier to give that feeling some matter-of-fact figures.
