Libby in the HoC

Post by Lunever »

If you return the firestaff to the entrance of the DM dungeon, wouldn't it be nice to have Lord Librasulus actually enter the HoC as a creature similar to Lord Chaos so he can pursue you with his fireballs, rather than being teleported away and having just a Libby-like wallset masking a shooter that will eventually kill you after a couple of hits?

I think this shooter is supposed to kill you initially - hehe, not eventually!!

How crazy do you boost up your characters?!! :)

(maybe we could start a contest : no# of these fireballs to kill you off ?)

With a couple of string firshields you can stand up to him a while. And FTL is far worse in that than RTC. In RTC he will still do some 40 points of damage per hit even if you have a very thick layer of fireshields, in FTL you could virtually drink a cup of coffee while watching him bombard your shielding.

Then in that case you could infidefinitely survive an assault by a monster librasulus since you can move out of the way, hide and regenerate

If you wanted you could do a skit yourself where he is either a better moving animation or a moving creature that fires tons of fireballs at you and steals the firestaff, but then he must be able to pin you down in that hall or else it's pretty stupid - you couldn't complete the game yet you are still alive!

Yes, throwing tons of fireballs and teleporting to the party, no matter where the party walks.

If you can fuse Lord Chaos to restore the Grey Lord, then you should be able to do the exact same thing to Librasulus, after all he's nothing more than an essence of the Grey Lord himself (like Lord Chaos), and should be just as Fluxcageable.

So either way, Fluxcaging either Lord Chaos or Librasulus should restore the Grey Lord and win the game. If you can survive his Fireballs long enough... ;-)

The idea is you can't get back to the door with the completed firestaff, so couldn't fluxcage libby

I don't know if you could argue that chaos is the 'body' and so only he has a physical form to fluxcage...the scrolls in DM made it sound like any being of pure alignment should be fluxcageable/fusable. I have a CSBwin test dungeon that proves it : )

You can do all of this with existing dungeon mechanics if you want, so am moving this into the editing forum rather than suggestions for the core RTC engine...
