Sticky postings?

Post by Daecon »

On at least three areas of the forums I get the option to make a new topic stickied, but not on others.

Is that intentional for users, or just some mix up with administration options?

Yes that would be a mix up, though I don't know which way around it should fall - mods and admins only, or everyone... since you can easily clutter up a forum with sickies that won't die

I think the ability to make a thread sticky should be relegated to admins and moderators only.

I never really noticed that anyone could use them in the past, before you improved the posting restrictions Beo.

Stickies should be for mods and admins only. There's no point having them otherwise.

That what I would have expected, hence wondering if it was a mistake in admin options. :)

See, I'm a good boy.

Well, not a mistake, it is the default setting for most boards - except for the RTC boards it was actuallu logically placed - any area where someone could release soemthing like custom dungeon, creative forum or tools and clones .

But we can't have people announcing stuff! Stuff gets anounced all the time and doesn't come to anything!

seems I can't find the option to make things sticky.. I guessI'm not a mod.. I can just delete, move, lock, and split.. no stick :P
