teleporters

Post by THOM »

Hi.

I've got a Problem with some Teleporters: If you put them in a line, so that one teleports the party to the other, you are beeing teleported direct to the end of the line. you cannot realize what happens - that you are moved through a room but just ported somewhere.

I mean: that is not the behaviour which I remamber. Is this a bug in 0.42 or have I forgotten something??

You've forgotten something.

Teleporters are instant. So, you go from the first to the second, the second to the third, the third to the fourth, and so on, all instantly, so it looks like you're going straight from the first to the last.

If you want there to be a visible effect, you need to have the teleporters activated by floor triggers with a delay instead.

Sounds to me like you need to actually look at the original DM dungeon, you have asked questions about the firestaff mechanics and now zoom, both of which are viewable in the DM dungeon text file

well, beowuuf...

OK you are right - the firestuff was just a egsample I've asked for. My interest was not in the Firestuffproblem itself. Therefor I havn't looked. in connection with the Teleporters I couldn't believe that it was a Problem with the mechanik but with the Teleporter-Item itself.
Now I see, I'm wrong. And I promise, next time I will have a look at the other txt-files first.
