CSB completed in 9 minutes.

Now, before you get all antsy, the game was played in three segments:
A) reincarnating MANTIA and leveling him up in the hall of champions
B) getting from the start to the SPEED BOOTS (where i saved)
C) getting from the SPEED BOOTS to directly in front of the corbum pit.
I have recordings of B and C, but what fun is that? I have a saved game which, when loaded, provides you with a character directly infront of the corbum pit, holding all 4 corbums, and ready to throw them across the pit at approximately 9 minutes and 5 seconds after the start of the game.
I used a completely different approach here in this run compared to all my others (last time i thought up a new approach, someone copied it exactly and just beat my time ^^) so i won't expend my secrets!!! (not only that but they're are 2 log files and i don't know how to splice them together =])
If you look at the saved game closely you'll probably find a hint as to what I did, but it won't give you specifics.
Due to the fact that i split up the game into two main parts (getting speed boots, saving, and using that as a base), this of course does not qualify for the 'Race to Ful Ya Pit' competition, but it does prove that CSB can be beaten in under 10 minutes!
Download the file above and load up the first saved game, quick pause the game and check the time and you can see for yourself it is infact under 10 minutes. It isn't completed of course, but I hope it doesnt take you 55 seconds or more to throw 4 corbums over a pit =], although the process of the game being ended does take a few seconds.

Note: the reason why I used a saved game of when I found the speed boots is because after about 150 attempts, I finally got lucky and the random gigglers ran their course quickly enough to keep up with my speed. Then from the base, there was countless more attempts from the speed boots to the Ful Ya Pit. Getting this time without saving/reloading midgame would require more luck then needed to survive an atomic bomb blast 6 feet away.

If you want to try, i can email the logs to you, but I tried to use the SpliceCSB.exe on your website but couldn't get it to work. I think the reason why is one log goes from "start" to "save game at speed boots" to "continue on farther", the other starts at the "saved game at speed boots". I'm not sure exactly how to splice them together, or "edit" them together to make one smooth film, but I'll email them to you, maybe you can get it to work seeing as you created playback logs =].

It appears that CSBwin has had a bug in the Record/Playback
if you use the 'Record' option on the command line.
It has had this bug since version 9.7. Nobody ever
mentioined it to me. But you get a 'Sequence Error' when
you play it back.
I will be able to make your record-breaking game work.
But it won't be right away. I have to do quite a bit of
research to figure out exactly what went wrong and how
to get around it.

Yeah go ahead, host the playfile, and what was the problem with using record in the command line anyway? I'm kind of curious ^^
I only said I would keep my secrets because I wanted to be mysterious for a few days. =] If you want me to host it on my web space I will otherwise the CSBWin page is fine.

Uh.....That ain't past tense. "What is the problem" wouldwhat was the problem with using record in the command line
be more accurate. I have not fixed it yet.
The recording started too soon. So some of what it recorded
gets overlayed when the program starts. It is a bit
complicated and I really don't know exactly. While researching
your problem I found several others and have been fixing them.
I have not gotten to this one yet.
I'll post it at dianneandpaul.net. As soon as they are back
on the air.
