Funniest thing I've seen on the net for ages: http://www.conservapedia.com/Rock_music - not sure if it's a joke site or serious :?

Both.

The site was founded in all seriousness because Wikipedia was "too liberal"... Then it became the laughing stock of all the liberal bloggers and now half of it consists of joke articles. Though it can be hard to determine which are those submitted as joke or in all seriousness by conservative wackos. ;)

yeah, I heard about Conservapedia. It`s the conservative answer for the "liberal" wikipedia. But I`m aware, that it would be useless because of its ideological distortion. Wikipedia only gives you facts (like a good, properly written encyclopedia), while conservapedia estimates them IMHO. When I want to get the pure facts I`m looking into encyclopedia. When I want to get know the others opinions, I buy a newspaper, turn the TV, etc.

as far, there`s no "Dungeon Master" position in Conservapedia. The closest one is "Dungeons & Dragons", wchich describes that system. Interesting discussion about satanizm and homosexuals...

http://www.conservapedia.com/Dungeons_and_Dragons
Controversy
Although the original game deliberately used a system of magic that was not found in any actual occult or religious system, the game came under attack mainly from some conservative Christians as promoting witchcraft, satanism and murder.

Oh yes, I can see how something that anyone can edit and that has a stated committment to being neutral could have massive liberal bias.

Seriously, could you imagine how much more human society could get accomplished if people at polar opposites of the ideological spectrum would take time out from making each other's lives miserable and actually work towards some of the good causes they claim to advocate?

Actually, Adamo, you quoted the last sane sentence of the article. There indeed has been some contrversy around D&D (and roleplay games in general) along those lines from people who, by and large, have no clue what an RPG actually is. Also, I could find no reference to homosexuality in the article.
Its dangers were well and succinctly summarized in the Dark Dungeons tract by Christian thinker Jack Chick.
Now this is garbage. I don't know what's worse: Calling Jack Chick a thinker, or a Christian? Still the tracts would be good for a laugh if they were the satire they look like instead of some madman's delusions.

he wrote even a comics story about RPG games.. Master of Dungeon is EVIL..!!
http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0046/0046_01.asp

Quote from his site:
After much prayer, he made the decision that, no matter what it cost him personally, he would publish the truth that Roman Catholicism is not Christian.
OMG, that guy is really insane!

I think it should say "Dungeons and Dragons was a popular and highly effective contraceptive in the 1980s".

If you thought that was bad, watch the Lego version.
The man behind Super Mario Bros music + piano version:
Believe it or not, that's probably one of my all-time favorite songs. I would love to get my hands on a copy of the sheet music.
