So you get the shovel in the cemetary then? I saw one in our clan stash, but I would like to find my own. I stumbled upon the grave almost right away. Oh, and if you need pixels, I put a bunch in the stash. The inexplicable doorway is a great place for hunting.

And, you do need a shovel to enter the temple, right? Or am I missing something else? Any luck on finding a whip yet? How about something that lets you breathe underwater? If you can't tell, I have a ton of maps I can't use yet. I also have a key to the goblin laboratory. :)

The tavern almost always gives you a stat/money trade-off, and I think you always gain one point of drunkenness each time you go. It seems to me that it's better drinking by yourself, since you actually get adventures for it, and you don't risk losing anything. I haven't actually gotten anything from the tavern that seemed worthwhile . . . though I did put together a spiffy set of beer goggles that literally say they "do absolutely nothing." I'm wondering if there's some hidden ability.

Do your guys' guild quests seem impossible? I have three now that I have zero chance of completing. The council quests are impossible enough. The only one I finished so far was the rats.

I would say we should create a clan forum for this, but it's more fun talking here. We might even inspire some other people to join.

Hehe, well, the more we get, the better ;). I can make a clan forum if you want but as you say, it's fine enough talking here for now :). You chaps seem to have uncovered quests that I haven't even heard of lol. I've not got a shovel but nor have I started any quests which seem to require one.
For access to the Hidden Temple, all you need is the map which tells you where it is (use the map item in your inventory and the Temple will be added to your game map).
As for drunkenness, I tend to gorge myself on both food an alcohol at the end of a session, when I'm out of Adventures, so I have a bunch of extra ones for the next time I log in (effects such as drunkenness wear off by the next day).
The pixels you get from the 2D-realm (through the Inexplicable Doorway) can be traded with the Mystic Crackpot (living in his Shed in the wood, near the Doorway) for various items. The items he has for sale are only visible when you have enough to buy them, so if you get yourself a huge load of pixels of all colours (like, about 30 or so of each), it's likely that all available items will be visible when you go to him.
I have a ton of crap in my inventory - I may stick some of it in the clan stash in a bit - help yourselves :).

Sorry, been on the phone for the entire evenign so couldn't reply

The shovel quest is from the accordian thief leader. From what I can tell, the quests seem the samish - I took my pastomancer for a second day's spin and the epic weapon quest seemed the same.

I thinkthe guild quests are for a variety of levels, but certainly seemed geared for level 6/7 and above. The own asked me to kill the giblin king and get the rats, while the accordion thief wanted me to dig up the grave

The shovel comes from the cemetery, you get it from an obvious source - the problem i had (maybe luck) is that you need to encounter the obvious source an aaaaaaaaaaaaawful lot of times until you get what you need - and so you have to confront some stronger monsters todo that :(

And I thiiiiink tom has the map ameena - you acually ned two more items, you infact get them from the same place you got the map - just kkeep adventuring alot til you get them. I'm sure your mind will spot what they are as you have them.

Now, the real question is is there anything inside the temple? I'm feeling guilty using it as a level up area, spending a day's adventure just tryign to get through the traps to somethign beyond. Part of me thinks I'm being stupid, then again sometimes you have to adventure forever until you get the right item or get a dkfferent screen, so I've percevered! And got two levl six characters because of it!

Hmm, now, the guild weapons. I thought the hermit would be the second wise man, but I can't see what the other part of the epic weapon would be he would ahve (golden stick? Or perhaps different for different people)

Also, I could not see how to meet the second casino guy, but then with the pastomancer there was a hint you had to play the right game to meet him...and needed and item

It's all so exceiting and confusing really!

Oh, back to council quests - you seem to beed to distrct the king or die, I must admit to keeping hitting the harem for a whle but ran out of adventures - but i thin kthere must be a few ways to get through there.

Oh, has anyone got the meat car? Too much stuff needed yet, I only know where a small fraction could be, so haven't reied. BUt o youget to drive to further places with it?

Oh, whip - it's actually for sale in one of the market bits! And i cannot believe I dind't think of it like instantly! I was gong for chewing gum, sticks, buigger sticks....

I've had the temple map for quite a while, but I can't remember where I got it.

I have all the parts but two, and I can't seem to find them at all. Let me know if you discover how to get rims and a stack of meat. (I do recall seeing a stack of meat for sale at the flea market, but I'd rather find my own. It's probably cheaper and, as such, faster.)

Whip in the market, gotcha. I'll check that out. I'd do it now, but for some reason I can't spend any clan karma.

I've done the Knob Goblin King quest...I'm on the level 9 quest now. I've also completed the meat car - once you have all the bits on the list, it's just a matter of sticking them together in the right order (try combining them all with each other until it ends up going together). Since I'm a Disco Bandit, I've therefore not done any quest for any other class since you can only access the guild hall for your own class, and I kinda assumed the Accordion Thief NPC wouldn't give me quests but I can't remember if I tried to speak to her yet.
Oh, and as for the Hidden Temple - I don't think I've found much in there, I think it's just a cool place to level, just like the Knob Goblin Treasury seems a cool place for meat.
I've just stuck a shitload of crap and some meat in the clan stash - I'll probably hit the treasury a few times tonight and get some more. Woah shit it's just gone midnight already. Meh. I'll do some adventuring anyway and probably continue my quest tomorrow. Wheee...entering into this whole Clan business has enabled more stuff for me to mess about with :D.
Oooh, if anyone gets any Spooky-Gro Fertiliser (drops in the Spooky Woods but must be very rare as I've not seen any since the tutorial), would they be willing to part with it, perchance? I'm after some to make another familiar...

The rims are with the hermit :D

I'm a disco bandit too, and the arocdian thief gives you a quest

Ah, funny thing about spooky grow fertilizer...Tom might need that for somethign he asked about :D

And I think you can't spend clan karma right away, it tells you your allowance.

I suppose it stops you joining, dumping useless stuff and taking somehtign good then leaving.

I did find some fertilizer, but like beo said, I needed it to unlock the temple . . . which was extremely worthwhile. I also found Doc Hobo's scalpel, which I thought was a quest item, but now I can't find anyone who'll take it. It's a pretty sweet melee weapon if anyone wants it.

Not enough turns today, though I did get a ton of stats.

Oh, speaking of the harem, are you getting a bunch of flowers? Those are for a quest that the village doctor gives you. They whooped my ass hardcore last time, and I haven't been back yet.

The funny thing about this game is, it's worth keeping every single item you find because you'll probably need it at some point. It's just hard keeping track of it all! I'm not too fond of the browser interface.

Lol, don't spoil how you got an asparagus like cutting item, I want to be surprised

Oh, i found a meat stack in the goblin treasury btw!

Haven't got a bunch of flowers yet - got some bonus giving harem pants, which makes me think I oculd potentially get the whole outfit and get the king that way!

You get loads of meat stacks in the Knob Goblin Treasury. I've only found one use for them so far - for a quest in which I only needed to use one anyway. But you get a fair amount of meat in the Treasury anyway.
Incidentally, if an equippable item is part of an Outfit, it will tell you in the info window for that item - when you have the full set, it will appear in your menu of outfits on your equipment screen (in your inventory) for you to dress up in it - your graphic (top left corner, by your levelling info) will change accordingly. Whatever I usually wear, I call that outfit "Stuff" (and rename it over itself whenever I replace an item), so I can quickly change back to it if I need to switch to another outfit for the purposes of a quest.
And yeah, Tom, I agree about keeping items you find - even though I put a shitload of crap in our clan stash last night, I made sure I kept at least one of everything 'cause really, there's no way of telling whether or not you're gonna need it for anything. I have no idea how people manage half these bloody quests and things without looking up the answers on a spoiler site or asking in chat, lol.
Half the quests you two have done, I don't seem to have found yet either. Anyway, any spare meat you can donate to the clan stash is appreciated (I put a couple of k in there myself last night), since when we have enough, I'll be able to buy us some furniture for the Rumnpus Room - stuff which can give us extra adventures per day, or a load of meat (eg 1k per member per day), or extra Muscle/Moxie/Mysticality, or whatever. I dunno if you have access to the screen which shows it, but these items cost 20k, 50k, and 100k, and of the three there are to choose from for each "slot" in the room, it looks like we can only have one item per slot.
I might just make a clan forum/message board thingy so we can discuss this stuff there rather than spamming out the DM forum with it, lol. Still, maybe some people will read this and decide to join us ()...

Maybe

And woah, that's alot of meat needed. I'm still scrounging for now, although thigns liek degrassi knoll and the trasury give alot of meat so I can start getting what I need quest wise.

I can't combine the car just now - i can get my dude wheels and a full meat tank, but nothing else combines - sdo I still need to find the shell of the meat car? I thought I just needed to stick the list together with meatpaste, but things just won't combine! I tried having the unsticker unstiking stuff, but nothing seemed to work in other ways :(

And, and I spotted a halk open doorway in the plains - a little sparkly thing...interested to find out what that is!

I think I need to figure out how to generate more adventures per day - I'm guessing cooking gives you better food, I can't find much food anyway, so I also need to find a good course of that.

The doorway might open during certain phases of the moon. I don't see aything on my map. The inexplicable door is open right now for me — it wasn't there earlier — but I'm drunk and don't have any adventures. I forgot to visit the Deep Fat Friars last time!

Actually, I bought my asparagus knife at the flea market because I used to have one and sold it, thinking I wouldn't need it for anything. But I think I remember where I found it, if you get completely fed up with trying.

I'm eager to learn cooking myself. I've bought some pretty powerful food items from the flea market, ones that give tons of adventures and stat points at the same time. I sure would like to make some of those and drop them in the clan stash, but the investment cost for cooking is 4,000 per book, and there are at least three books.

Is it just me, or do pastamancers get screwed at the guild? All the magic item bonuses apply only to saucerers. I'll be severely disappointed if we don't find any good pastamancer equipment. I might even start a revolt against saucerers.

Ah, I recognise the name of the friars, I think it must be a quest I didn't bother undertaking

And ok, if the asparagus knife is somehting you pick up, I think i know where you must get it - the haunted pantry? I need to go back there at some point for more spider webs for the gourd guard, so will try for it then

I notice the jump to level 7 is pretty large, so at kleast I know not to bother with the lost temple as a level up and adventure waster...though I can't help feelign all those traps MUST be to protect somehting. Perhaps it only unlocks at a later player level... or perhaps like the cobb's knob etc you actually gain entry to it later with a quest

Well, I can't remember what Dr Hobo wanted done with the

I just got my first filthy lucre from doing a bounty hunter job - 17 treasury receipts!

I got the doc's quest today, and got the harem girls flowers - dunno where the other two would be, perhaps the mis-spelt graveyard?

Oh, I got the lab key for deeper in the cobb's knob, but got my arse handed to me royally so that's one to avoid

And duh, I totally forgot about fortune cookies as food - so I have a few more adventures today and hints for the epic weapon. I knew I had to gable to get one part (probably alot of poker or the slots that need adventures) but I think my guess at the hermit was off - perhaps outside fenry's tower. Oh, and the third epic weapon hint I half missed - why do I have the feelign you add your basic weapon to it?

Wuffy - regarding the meat car, if you read on the list it tels you what you need (springs, cogs, etc)...most of it you can get at Degrassi Knoll, but the Hermit has the rims, and err...I think you get somethign else somewhere else. I think you combine cog and sprocket, then add the springs to that, then err something else...I know you have to put a meat stack in the empty meat tank.
Oh, and one thing - when you hit a certain level, you get given something (an item) by the Council which is sort of another quest. It's really cool and you can get some stuff out of it but make sure you really do explore around it a lot 'cause there's a bit where you can get to where once you go past it, you can't go back - I missed a load of cool stuff there because I didn't notice :P.

Edit - Btw, if you enter the chat (pass the Literacy Test at the Altar of Literacy in town first if you haven't already, so you can access chat), and join the channel "clan", you'll be moved into the clan channel (ie the channel for whatever clan you're in). Just if anyone fancies chatting while KoLing, if any of us happen to be on at the same time.
Oh, and since I don't think you can edit your own titles/ranks, if you want to be given a particular title name just lemme know (either in here or send me a PM in-game) :).

Yeah, what I mean is that I have all the parts on the shopping list, but don't seem to be able to combine the cog and sproket, for example. I can get the dude tires and the full meat tank, and then nothing else combined correctly! Do the cogs etc need meatsmithing? That wasn't the impression I got :( The only other thing I thought was that perhaps I needed the right amounts before the combined - like 2 sets of cog/sprokets, or four springs or somehting :(

Are you refering to the tower for the guild qiest, or later? Cause I understamnd the tower unlocks then unlocks then unlocks (though I haven't really scatched the surface as the foes seem to good). If somethign else, then I will head your warning whenever I get council stuff

I think i need to blow a day meatsmithing and cooking. It would be nice to get more adventures, and since the level gains are now spread out, and the extra moves more expensive, I need somehtign to give me an edge in the harder combats. I also realise how powerful cocktaisl are two - some of the more...girl...sounding cocktaisl ahve given insane adventures for the drunkenness imparted.

I also am at a moral quantry - as I have two secondary characters with alot of meat accrued that could go to the clan. Is that cheating? Seems like cheating to me!

Anyway, I dunno, do we want to pool our knowledge here about basic tactics or is that too spoilerish?

Anyway, some things I've spotted if so:

- accept as many quests as possible from everyone. Things get seeded when you get quests (liek the harem flowers, etc). Therefore, you can kill two or more quests with a single set of visits to one area. If anyone hasn't already, accept a bounty hunter mission for example. Not sure if any of his items are good, dont' spot any downsides yet, and the requirements seem to seed into certain areas.

- buy a tent. It's not just a pvp thing, it's cheap and doubles the recovery you have (sorry if this was obvious to everyone else!)

Umm, I'm sure I had some stuff in my mind, but I've forgotten it now!

You don't have to buy a tent - you can make one. Better than the tent is the cottage (which you can also make - replaces the tent when you stick that in your campground). After that is the house, which you get during a quest.
As for making the car...you just go to "Combine stuff" in your inventory, and combine the various items with each other (I think it's cog and sprocket first but I can't remember - just goof around with 'em till something goes, then put that with something else from the list etc). If you don't have enough meat paste, just make some (you're prompted to do so on the "combine stuff" page if you dont have any at the time).

That's what I mean, I've goofed around with everything using combine stuff :( Unless somehting has temporarily broken on the website, then I'm missing somehtgn obvious. I've tried to combine each item with each item in turn - I even got the untinkerer to break some stuff apart to try other elements incase there were dead ends :(

Since you are saying it's so easy, I am starting to lean heavily towards the 'somehting just got broken' theory!

Arr, I've been and found it for ye...
"Combine the Meat Stack with the Empty Meat Tank to get a Full Meat Tank, and combine the Tires with the Sweet Rims to get the Dope Wheels. Combine a spring and a sprocket, then combine the result with a cog to make Cog And Sprocket Assembly. Now combine the Full Meat Tank with the Cog And Sprocket Assembly to produce a Meat Engine, which you can then combine with the Dope Wheels to get a Bitchin' Meatcar."

Yeah, then somehting is broken! Just did a bug report, see if that is correct or I get spanked

Edit: Umm ok, I went back in to prove it, just for paranoia's sake, and it worked.

Umm, I am scared.

Very scared

Like, very very scared - since I've done that a few times now that I remember.

Oh well, I have the car, so it's onwards and upwards! :D

Thanks for putting up with my dilusional ramblings :D

Rofl.
I'm online still, in the clan channel if you fancy a chat...dunno how much longer I'll be there. I'm out of Adventures for today but I currently have no booze and I'm full up foodwise so I'm pretty much done for today, Kol-wise.

I think instructions to build the car really should have been part of the list, because there's nothing fun about random trial and error. I'd hoped the game's developers would have known this. That they didn't bothers me.

If you want booze, I'll drop some into the stash. I always have way more than I can drink in a day, or a week for that matter.

Time to do my adventures. . .

It was a fairly productive day. I got some good equipment from the stash (thanks guys!), finished 11 levels of Fernswarthy's tower, opened up a rift to Hey Deze (too small to enter yet), gained a level, figured out how to enter the bat den. Tomorrow should be interesting. I'm gonna try to help out those poor friars. Maybe the demons won't kill me instantly.

Wow - I started opening a few of the ground level stuff, and then wasted the last of my time being hit by the frat :(

And aaaaaaaaah, yeah, I've spotted that the rift is only a small hole just now

Hmm, dunno what I'll do tomorrow - ignore the beach stuff and try for the bat I think. And also perhaps try some cooking, and if i could get money maybe go for some poker!

So much to do :D

Yeah, isn't there - I've got a couple of quests to do, a few places I want to explore, plus I wanna get hold of more supplies of food and booze to top up my adventures at the end of a session, as well as ensuring I have some spare meat to stick in the clan stash every now and then :D.
