Best. Game. Ever. According to some poll, at least...

http://www.gamefaqs.com started a series of polls today to determine the best game of all time. Shamefully, our most beloved game is not among the candidates... Of the entries, I'd have to go with either Doom or Resident Evil 4. I think, however, that Zelda: Ocarina of Time or Final Fantasy VII will win.

Any thoughts on what game will win? Which one would you choose?

I'd vote either Diablo 2 or any Civilization. I think latter should win, but otoh, it's not too mass compatible and doesn not attract the kind of people to push the votes. Civ is awesome.

Zelda and FF are sure bets, i guess. Maybe some GTA has a chance as well.

GameFaqs... It's one of the few sites that I bypass Google and go straight for any additional game info I might find...

The first blasphemy has happened - Doom lost to Zelda: A Link to the Past and Donkey Kong Country (which is vastly overrated in my opinion). Kids these days...

Lol, actually on the LW forum this has been mentioned too, and some said they voted for Zelda. So there you go, someone who knew 'back in the day' preferred a current game
