Oh man, thta one's fantastic. I just got to the race one... i must be missing something, one of the falls deems to demand you control the blue guy to get he box, but i can't slow down the alternate box guy enough - I have him jumping three times including bouncing off he other end of the level and boncing back but not quite, the first block springs up right when i'm on it!

Ahh that was Friday's game on OML - I think I know the level you're on about, Wuffy - took me a while to get that one too. I can tell you where the three blokes need to be (for the fourth one to jump over) if you want. Even putting them in the right places it still took me a few goes to get there before the spike-square thingys zonked me (several times I would be on the spikes when they activated, lol. I think I'm two or three levels past that one now.

LOL, the games have really changed since Manic Miner. :D But I have never been good at playing these games and had never the nerves to play them too long.
Finally playing and immensely enjoying the awesome Thimbleweed Park-a-reno!

I got passed thatne using one fewer guys because I am tehleet h4recor3z but the next one with the various platforms made me wanna take a break. I think I know how to do it (ish) but the various jumping on pipes annoyed me until I got it right so there we go!

Ahh yeah Wuffy, okay so maybe I'm only on the level after the one you were stuck on - I'm on the one with a bunch of very thin, tall, vertical ledges you have to hop over, and raise the platform on the right to get the box, which is underneath it. I think I have the idea but haven't cracked it yet - I normally play the daily OML game in the morning before I go to work, and that was as far as I got on Friday before I had to go out.

Yeah, tat one got me for ages. I actually looked at the walkthrough, but saw I was right, just I hadn't fully grasped the best way to generate the electricity quickly :(

I'm on the one after that where you have to syncronise actions - I think I can get it, just needs alot of trial and error so I'm taking a break!

And congrats gambit!

Is there a different way othat than running up and down into it very quickly, then? No, wait, don't tell me yet...I'll try stuff like crouching and jumping very fast too, see if that works (next time I play it, which will probably be Tuesday morning).

No, you need to run - it's exactly how you run or where you run that's the issue! Like... don't just sit there between the two pylons and try to go left and right as fast as possible...

Well, the ledge isn't very big, so there isn't really anywhere else to go without falling off the edge ;). Unless I need to keep one spare bloke and trigger him at the same time as I run through. So far I've been putting one (crouched) on each of the pillars and the last one I send to hop over each of them in the direction of the box. He always ends up on the ledge before I can raise it high enough :(.

Well, to spoil it, you need to touch each pylon. I was running between the two, so barely registering, whereas if you hit each pylon then turn, it boosts much higher. That's how you get it faster, and you method will work. I just didn't realise - the last time you use the electricity generator, doing it too fast is actually a bad thing!

I don't see how anyone could think humans are "just animals" after watching this lovely short film -- 16 mins well spent and guaranteed to put a smile on your face :-)

Turn it up loud, James Horner's score is fantastic... and the scene itself is so uncool, it's very cool:

An interesting article by Ron Gilbert, the father of Monkey Island and so on.

I'll probably use parts of it in my own "scientific" work. :D

Lol, you can measure here your C-factor, i.e. test whether or not you're a Calvinist...

http://www.trouw.nl/religie-filosofie/n ... 050113.ece

(I clicked on it inadvertently on the BBC web, finding after a few minutes that my C-factor was 75 %, i.e. I was a genuine Calvinist... lol, now what shall I do?)

I think the Calvinist answer would be that there's nothing you can do, because God has declared you're a Calvinist and so you are incapable of choosing to be anything else. :P

(I got 44%, by the way. Wearing fruity bikinis is not a Calvinist thing to do)

I got 69% - it said I was pretty much a Calvinist but a little softened round the edges, or something.
