When I played, I don't recall needing to press the green button (I think that keeps the wall open. It was the grate right beside you that you walked through
Hmm, too long since i played that area perhaps..

The green button opens the wall behind you, after you've stepped through and it closes.
Every time you exit, you have to 'do battle' again with the snakegoobs.
I hope those rats have an endless regeneration clause built into the game. I sure do love me some rat steaks.

Hmmm...have you tried walking through the walls around you? There should be a push button grate to some rats!
Thge rats don't regerneate though...you need the cellar level for that, if you know the tigger...

You mean trigger, don't you? If you're picking on my Louisiana State University "tigers" I'm gonna howl.
The cellar section, near the wall covers? I've walked all over the place, stamping grooves in the floors, but I must be missing something (if the rats are meant to regenerate indefinitely).
P.S. I went to the section with the 'snakemen wall' and kept stepping into one of the teleporters. The rats were always back. I got tired of using poison bolt, and started using my katanas, confiscating a veritable steak buffet before leaving. I even tossed 25 or 30 outside the movable wall.

Donde esta el corbum??? (Where is the corbum?) I haven't stumbled across much of it.

The temple has one or two, deeper in the spare rooms has one, usually they are placed in logical magical places...

I must have missed the temple somehow (hint?). I've jumped and climbed down most holes I've located, just for the sheer joy of starting yet another 'lost in time and space' journey.
I prefer jumping (I like to hear the team SCREAM).

The temple is directly down from the cellar level, there are various stairwells up from the sewers or down from the cellars to get to it
Beware the vexirks!

I stumbled across another corbum. I (ain't I a genuis) figured out the 'ten with no heads' riddle. The 'dude from Ephesus' or whatever, section was weird. I had to use the doorway to rid myself of all the little flying pests. grrr.

I'm actually starting to like the spiders. Good source for VEN eggs.
I keep thinking the 'fishguy' on Hellboy would like them also, since he enjoys rotten eggs.
Wonder what he'd think of those VEN eggs?

I have found four of every kind of jewel, other than the ruby.
I only have two rubies. Did I miss something?
P.S. I know I can use 'four of each kind' of two other jewels, to get one more ruby. I just figure I missed a couple of rubies somewhere. Any help?

don't worry too much about that "four of every kind" riddle.
Anyway:
you might find 2 more rubies after you solved that 1-2-3-4 riddle in the mines. (More can be found in various places though)
Have fun! Conflux is great.
(I'm still playing it regulary and there is so much to discover, even on trails you've virtually touched each and every pixel.

I just now accomplished the 'one, two, three, four' spots in the mines. I used 'one, two, etc' ZoKathRa markers at each of the four spots, then had to recall where on earth I had placed them.
I was going to ask what stepping on them 'in order' did.
I'm certainly going to 'shy away' from stepping on ANY of them again, if that's possible.
Hmmm. Where to go now, since I'm trying to repair a number of broken items, remove a few curses, and I might even find the needed extra rubies I'm missing?
(I'd love to use that ridiculous waterskin. Thanks, much thanks, a barrel of thank yous to Zyx, if you thought that waterskin up on your own

)

Just noticed all the 'recording' logs within the C3 folder.
Are these important, or should I delete them?

you can delete the records (and turn the recording off in the config), unless you want to share some moves you did. (Let's say: wiping out hell.

)
as for repairing / uncursing: there should be a FAQ on the wiki giving you the needed hints (or, if you wish: the plain answers)
With priest skills high enough, water will never be a problem again. Remember the old rune combi for the healing potion not working anymore?
in short:
repair: as you probably guessed right - dwarf mines. Access not directly, but maybe from above... be prepared...
uncurse: there is a certain high priest in the temple guarding a device.
1234: look for dangerous places after stepping on the plates in the right order. Again: be prepared.

I have come to the section that keeps asking me to 'keep washing' and triggers the (at least it looks like it) immaterial blast.
I haven't figured what to place in front of the 'eye' to trigger it.
I've gone underwater a number of times,
trying to figure if there's anything I'm suppose to do there,
but seem to be at a dead end.
I don't even know the 'name' of the section, so I don't know where to search for a hint.

Still stuck trying to figure what I'm suppose to do in the water level, with the 'middle' of the alphabet on the wall of one alcove.
It's down the stairs from the room with all the water fountains that keep triggering something which doesn't seem to do anything.
The 'crablike' creature, along with a large group of scorpions, is downstairs in the water.
I can cast a light spell, which seems to clear the water for a short time, and have wondered if that means anything.
Anyone familiar with this section?

Those fountains give you access to a spell that you need to cast yourself. If you read through the runes, it should make sense. You need to clean all the footprints up off the floor then secret passages will open up.
If I remember rightly, there isn't much to find on the water level except for a reward for killing the crab.

I've checked all my runes, at least those on the sheets of paper that I use to keep track of spells, but I can't figure anything that seems to help.
I'm suppose to clean the footprints off the floor?
I even tried 'magic footprints' to cover the entire floor with footprints. I began feeling like I was 'practicing futility' on an olympic level.
I have VI EW written down as a spell (and I'm not sure where I found it), but it fizzles. Could I have missed a scroll somewhere that would unlock the necessary spell to clean up the floor?
Clueless in Lose ee anna.

You have the spell, but you need to unlock it by clicking on the fountains - it's short lived, you keep needing to get more water
AS for earlier - clicking on the four numbers in the dwarf mines in orders is the way to reveal something major, but's it's a brave man or a fool who would find it

I already whipped the 'half submerged in rock' stoneman, in the dwarf mine area. A badboy to be sure.
I just made sure of my retreat, and then kept chipping away at him until he started sucking his thumb and crying 'uncle' to me. grrr. No mercy here. I put him out of my misery.
I'll try the spell after clicking on the fountains. Thanks.
P.S. Good to see you 'show up' again, Beo.

Gloom, despair, and agony on me.
Can't believe how simple most of these riddles are, yet I seem to be too much of a dunderhead to figure them out.
P.S. Regarding the underwater section I mentioned...
Any trick to killing the crab creature?
Is there anything I'm able to do in the alcove with the 'middle of the alphabet' on the wall, and an 'eye' which I'm surely suppose to 'tap on' with something that's suppose to be in my inventory?
Does everything down there regenerate?
And what about all those 'tree' creatures in the back section?
Can they be killed, and is it worth trying to kill them in the first place?
I feel like a little kid... Why? Why? What? Who? Why? And how come anyway?

I killed Mr. Crab and picked up the fancy-pants. Why am I able to see why things are 'unique' all of a sudden? Is it because I reached a certain achievement in the priest or wizard categories?
I'd really like to get the chance to destroy that bunch of 'tree' monsters in that one alcove. I got tired of trying to locate that spot, while fighting off those little poisonous maniacs, so I went on to other endeavors for now.
Went back to the 'gem gholem' section (with the moving wall that leads to the 'easy' ratsteaks), and piled up a bunch of grub (even tossed about a hundred steaks outside the dumb place, for future needs.
I'm back at the guild level again, deciding just how I want to use my two corbums, and of course the OVEN.
In the meantime, Mister (oops, now MR.) Cowsmanaut runs off and gets married. And Beowuuf moves into a new flat.
Things are moving WAY TOO FAST around here.
I'm enjoying tossing fireballs at the local meanies, however.

Where do you mean by "tree creatures in the back section"? I can't quite figure out where you are on about.

There's a large crowd of the creatures that were in the original DM, that looked like trees to me, and tossed poison at you.
They are under water, in the southern area of the place you find the 'high hit point' crab creature.
Did that answer your question? I'm not familiar with the name of the tree creatures to which I refer.

You mean poison slimes, like in the sewers ?
