*sigh*

I tried nearly everything I collected - but nothing breaks the strongest sword, chain mail but no club.
What's the solution of the Moria riddle?

Thanks!

The answer is closeby, if you acquire it during combat you will be annoyed. What do swords and chainmail ahve in common that wooden clubs do not?

And I was shure that I tried this, in my memory it was one of the first things I did (first thought was

I must have made a mistake!

But thanks a lot, and now forward to new halls!

Can anyone tell how I get behind the teleporter at 16,8,12 or open the b-key-doors?
I wasn't able up to now to get into this area where Xanathar is.

Yes, Conflux III is hard and much fun!

The b-keys are in the area, not sure what teleporter that is - what is it beside?

I got 2 b-keys, used them - but the door didn't open. And I didn't find other keys which unlocked it.

The teleporter teleports you only 1 square to the west. It blocks an opening in the hallway to the north to reach the area behind this b-key-gate. And I don't find another way to Xanathar.

I think you'll find one in a dead end near the zoom zone.

But I can't find any other entrance to X.
And I got one of my spent b-keys from the dead end, as far as I remember. But I'll go looking for it.

Hi!

Sneaking down to Ye Olde King, killing everything that moves, going down and through a pit and up again, I reached the hell.
And ended there very quickly.

Is there any possibility to survive the hell and find an exit?

Ok, so my guys should improve. Later I'll come back.
For now maybe I should pick on Vecna awhile.

At the spider's level, there are three doors with teleporters behind on the map, at 06,04,01 to 06,08,01. I didn't manage to open them. Are they just for "internal" teleporting or is there a possibility to open them? Do I need to open them?

That sounds liek the thieves' maze to me... if you can solve the FUL riddle you should be able to enter it

I could be wrong, not looking at the maps though!

I think it's not part of Thieves' Maze.
And this riddle is at
Spoiler
Spider's Level
? Then I solved it, otherwise not.

And up to now I've tried every pit I could fall into and every corridor I could enter, but I'm stuck.
At least I couldn't get into nearly all of Relicuary, most of Elemental Halls, nearly all at the Commander's except some stairs, most of the left side from Berserker, lower left quarter of the junction, Apprentices upper half and to Xanathar as well as the upper left quarter of Moria. So much unexplored areas! :(

Do you have a hint where I can make another step into the unknown? My party starts to be bored and quarreling with me.

Yes, the spider's level is what I was thinking of.

Sorry, I'm not familiar enough with all the nooks and crannies to know exactly where you have and have not encountered :( I think you just need to try and solve some of the areas you already are in, try to check for a few hidden or illusionary walls in the council, or try to map better moria (it is quite sprawling) or just look for areas you've skipped wile Zooooooming around in the apprentice rooms

Such a pity!
So I will try to jump into every pit again - maybe I forgot one to check...
I got the maps from the DMWiki Conflux-Levels, so I am pretty guided through Moria.

Do you now what to do in the Torture Chamber?

So much questions!

I think the torture chamber is just a fun little bit, I'm sure it's the area beyond that's the fun - for that, i think illusionary walls are the key!

Hi, I'm new here. Firstly, this is a fantastic game with lots of atmosphere.

I really need help. I found this alcove where it contains a scroll that say bring 3 potions, ven egg, kath vinegar and zo liquid.
It contains a plasma which you cant put in backpack. Now I placed the 3 items, ven egg, kath vinegar and zo liquid on it and heard the clicks but nothing happens. Do i need to find "3 potions" too, if so what are those? There is a strange marking on the wall beside this alcove. Clicking on it does nothing. I tried using plasma on it also, nothing.... Can anyone help shed light on this?

Welcome to the forums!

You need to look around the corner from that alcove, you might find a very welcome rewards. I think the marking on the wall is a set of scratches? They are because rats are around. If it is something else, I'm not sure! Probably atmosphere!

Awesome! Welcome reward indeed =). I guess it's done that way because of how the engine works right? Or is zyx really that twisted =).

The weird thing is that I've always loved DM and remember downloading CSBWin and RTC to play some years back and yet I missed this gem of a masterpiece! How in the world did I manage to miss this!!!

Ok, it's REAL hard but being a bit masochistic I am enjoying dying and reloading to just get that extra bit further. This is one mother of a dungeon.

@Paul Stevens
Thanks for the link. Can anyone edit those pages?

Also, is that plasma thing needed? I guess I'll just bring it up to the heroes room and place it there (following the recommendation in this thread.) That's a lot of stuff for me to pick up and carry upstairs...... Is it ok? Is there a limit to how many items a tile can contain before the engine crashes or things are lost by overflow? (e.g. 256/512 max per tile etc)

It's also very awesome that you guys can reply so quickly after I post. The first post was made in 2005 and you guys are still active!!!!

Maybe originally under PC DM if the riddle is that old, these days Zyx could make the items disappear and new ones reappear withour breaking sweat. And he really is that twisted :D

I think it's been a slow build to the stature it has now! You must have just come in during lulls.
Also, is that plasma thing needed?

If you haven't opened up all the guilds yet, it might be useful one one in particular, but otherwise no. I think CSBwin is pretty robust now, so you should not hit an item limit anytime soon!

There is no limit to objects on a tile.
Eventually things might get a bit slow
because it must draw them all, one on
top of the other.

I believe anyone can edit the wiki.

Very nice wiki indeed! Although I doubt I'll be able to contribute much being such a newbie but will keep a lookout for things not already mentioned.

Hmmm I need some advise.
I've restarted a new game and have collected a shuriken, mace and staff. But now I'm not sure whether to use them in the guild so that I can gain an extra level for each of the class or to save them. I remember that there was a pillar with slots requiring these items in the minotaur level. Do I need them in the minotaur level? Because I didn't see anything special when I used a mace at the minotaur level and assumed that I wasted a mace......

You need one of each item to unlock the secrets, and they are really only there for higher level players with too many guild items. In my opinion, the items that the guild items unlock are not worth the level cap you are inflicting on yourself by not opening the guild doors.

On the other hand, I would hold on to a mace until you get a decent weapon!

Thanks for the advise beowulf. I managed to find a sabre. Not sure if it's as good as the mace.

Another question. In the minotaur's chamber, I managed last time to close the pit by throwing stones across and getting them turned in flight. But this time I just can't seem to do it with Gando. (Used Lief as my character last time). Is there any other way across as it seems that my strength may not be high enough to get the stones to reach the plate. Or is it my timing that is incorrect?
