Sounds like a bug to me. There has indeed always been food there. Food is plentiful on the wine cellar level if you know where to find the Rat regenerator (area surrounded by tapestries and floor grates). You can also get some food from monsters on the storage level by activating a certain water fountain. These are only temporary fixes and I recommend you ask Zyx if you can send the saved game to him to fix.

Priest riddle - one item you need has already been an item for another puzzle/quest

The lack of food sounds like a bug, it should always be stocked. Reminds me of when the monsters weren't killed and roamed the halls in one of the earlier versions. How did you get to the canteen?

I got the priest riddle, now I need one more staff. I got to the canteen through the vortex in the mines area by the forge room. I will ask Zyx if he wants to look at it. Last I herd from him he was flying somewhere. thank, I guess I will go and kill and get killed by some more spiders. I am using conflux 3 bug fixed 3

Hmm, the standard entrance, will be some bug created by the big fix then!

There are staffs all around, though there are a little more obscure tostart with. You can get one fro mthe moister area (the three pits chest dead end), one for finding a lucky coin in the wine cellar, and...ummm...there are others sprinkled around :D

Ah, so that's what makes the staff appear in the wine cellar. I couldn't figure out how I could find that staff in some games and not in others.

Since i am here, still having problems with cursed items, any more hints anyone can give?

Those rich few who worship at the feet of the high priest seem to be less cursed in their lives

The csbsave.dat file is the file you need to send zyx, it will be i the files directory I believe

Is there any way to customize the keys on a keyboard? This game is difficult with no mouse and use of all direction arrows. It'll take a long time before I can get used to the 'jklnm,' keys for movement and 'qaz' for attacking.

Yes, you can input the scancode for the keys into the 'config' file, which will be in the same directory as the .exe I belive - probably the files folder

I'm stuck in hell with only Iaido, and I've killed countless and various monsters. Is there a map to this level? I can't find an exit anywhere (I entered it through a pit).

Can you be more precise about the looks of the level ?

Because you're not supposed to go to hell unless you've done very precise things in the game.
If it's the Moria, you can be helped, but if it's truely hell, it's probably a bug.

It looks like the area you go to when you put the wrong items in an alcove during the trial. There are various paths with the fire elemental floorpads spread throughout. I've killed a couple two-headed monsters, a Lord Chaos, Vecna, a couple of the floating eyes that shoot poison and lightning, an orange dragon, just to name a few. I finally found some stairs going up, and after several flights of stairs, made it to a teleporter that teleported me to where the guilty go. Needless to say, Iaido died. I did get there through Moria, if that helps.

There is a way out of hell, or used to be...if you were lucky when beating a retreat you used to be able to carry on on one wall :D

So in other word, I need to restart at an earlier save right?

Probably for the best :(

Unless Parallax know a way, I'd say yes.
Hell doesn't sound like a place to go anyway

This place is only available on the last version. I was testing some things to do in Hell and left its way opened for the casual curious wanderer.

Oh by the way, curiosity killed the cat.

Cats can afford to be curious with nine lives, but I guess Iaido only has one. Oh well.

current game + 4 saves + 4 backup = 9 lives!

Which means, er... you can die out of curiosity alright. Like cats do.

"Hell doesn't sound like a place to go anyway"
See if I can change that:

"...and our second place contestant will win a trip to fabulous Hell! You and up to three guests will fly one way to Hell, Conflux. Enjoy the sights, wander aimlessly through the streets, make friends with the locals. Yes, visit beautiful ground zero of Conflux, in Hell!

I was looking somewhat like this:  at your description of the place. I thought you had managed to clear the traditional hell patch at first (which would be a highly impressive feat!) but now it seems it's a new locale. So OK, I don't know anything about it, unless it is added fauna to the Hell that gets unleashed, as opposed to the Hell you get thrown into.
So have fun, it looks like you are breaking new grounds in the exploration of conflux. :)

If I get a mouse, I think I can clear out the original hell, unless some of the monsters are immortal. I've taken out at least two monsters from there without even being there, thanks to the teleporter. And I've taken out at least three others while there. Tough to do without a mouse. This is without the help of winds.

Has anyone been to the teleporter/portal room (not the one where you are sent to the trial from)? I found it once in the last version and can't find it anywhere now. It isn't that big a deal, but it was a neat find, and I was just curious as to where I could find it.

Can anyone shed a hint for the riddle on the four-sided wall in the underwater level? It's not the safest place for trial and error.

First line, answer to your first question. Second line, hint to yoursecond question.

At the top of the stairs of ashes, take the stairs down to the spider level. step forward once and wait a second, a pit will open under you. There you are, the Nexus.

Just look, the answer for that riddle is all around you.

Is there supposed to be a certain order to pushing the buttons (cleverly disguised as dents in the wall) in Moria? They almost all make click sounds, but don't appear to do anything.
BTW, Gothmog's ending is easy. That watch dog looks a lot like the one from Blood.

Umm, if they are the dents I think you mean, they actually require something else to make them work

They are not necessary in most cases, but do give nice short cuts
