I made it through the Worm Level without any
cheating. You are not allowed many mistakes
when using these rules. And I am likely to suffer
from carpal-tunnel syndrome from throwing all
my possessions ahead of me. Nothing can stop
me now.
The 'Don't let a door stop you' door at the start
of the Worm Level turned out to be a non-problem.
I had strength=39 and chopped the door down on
the first 'CHOP'. The Hornet was a bit exciting.
I find it difficult to believe that it is possible to do
this with your bare hands starting with a reincarnated
tiggy. If you want to try I would consider it a
success if you simply get past the Worm Level.
I put a CSBtiggy3.zip at
webpages.charter.net/pstevens1
The rules are the same as CSBtiggy2 but it has
a couple of corrections that make it easier to
splice together the recordings. So if you want to
accept the challenge, please use CSBtiggy3.

Re: new competition?
Can you save/load in this competion? I've been trying it a little bit, and its very tedious and boring when you go through level 2 up to 5 times, only to get hit by a mummy once and instantly die =[

Re: new competition?
I agree that this is too tough to expect a perfect
game. My game through the Worm Level includes
about 3 saves. I got to the Hornet without saving but
it took a couple tries to get by him.
I think we decided that save/restore were to be left in
the game. The program allows it. And I have sort of
volunteered to splice the pieces together for people so
as to make one long 'movie'. It will very likely be easier
than explaining how to do do it.
Be sure to save all the necessary pieces!

Re: new competition?
My progress is going to be a little slower as I use my bother's computer and he needs it back. Better get down to the electrical shop I suppose...
I managed to get down to the scorpion lair a couple of days ago using Tiggy2 with just 2 pieces of 'film' though I had actually saved about 5 times. I just carried on. Food is hard to come by down here, rats are difficult to kill and food goes down quickly. In fact the food you gain hardly covers the consumption in the time taken to kill them.
There is a good tactic to kill the hornet on the worm level. Freeze it with a box and repeatedly hurl a weapon at it. As it flies, you can just pick it back up again keep on throwing until it dies. Not easy when you can only carry two objects...

Gambit: You're not alone... :-)
Parting is all we know from Heaven, and all we need of hell.
Re: new competition?
a little sidenote
In the original dungeon master, reincarnating characters did not cut their hp/stamina/mana in half, that was only implemented in CSB (Due to high starting stats probably, otherwise you'd have a group of 4 guys all with 999/999/999 pretty quickly =])
Anyway, this obviously make the competion a shitload harder (12 hp instead of 25.. stamina is always an issue as well)
Any chance on seeing if this can be changed (or maybe we just add the extra challenge) =]

Re: new competition?
It certainly would be easy to change. But I considered this
a part of the challenge. My reincarnated Tiggy had grown
quite powerful by the time she encountered her first Rat.
