Has anyone killed Solune using weapons and spells? I've killed him by another way with my cursed party and I'm not receiving points for the cerebus. Because of that, I've decided to try and kill him the old fashioned way so I just want to make sure I'm not just wasting my time. I'm only trying this so I can get the points.
103 points for my cursed party if anyone else wants to compare.

Solune is immune to normalweaponery, is he not. Don't let the damage fool you, it's like Lord Chaos

I was hoping there was a chance. After all, you can kill Lord Chaos in Conflux with four Mon fireballs. Oh well.
Cursed group without cerebus (3) points: 118. Unless I find a Sar key, I think I've reached the limit with my cursed group.

I think that was an engine glitch, or something new for fun. Zyx will have to enlighten, my knowledge is quite old now.
For example, I thought the mage leading the seige of the town invulnerable!

The Lord Chaos I mentioned was in the Altar of Nightmares.
Is there something specific that needs to be done in order to get the alcove for 'weapons only' to work and increase weapon speed. It has worked one out of three different saves. I would like it to work for my other two saves.

The torture chamber has me stumped, any hints you can give me?

Me again, I have two more questions. In the dragons lair, how do you get the gate door open to the cartographer? In the room Solune Alchimist how do you get the bag without being traped in by the force field, and any other hints about this room will be greatly appreceated. thanks (from the spud from idaho)

Torture chamber has a shortcut to the emerald level that can save you about six keys and 8 gems.
Which dragon den are you referring to? What color is the dragon?
The trapped area has an eye on the wall. Use something that a wizard could always have with them to free yourself. As for other hints in the room, there is a scroll that vaguely gives a hint about how to get five points. There is a shortcut that leads to this room from the Pit D area.

The dragon is red with a few little ones with him. I found the bones of a cartographer but still can not open the gate.

I believe one of the small dragons drops a master key that lets you open the gate. If you killed any in the imaginary walls, that might be a good place to start looking.

There is a imaginary wall you walk in, there is a switch on the wall that opens a wall right beside you, that is where my gate is at. I have the master key, done all that, this is a different part in the same level that talks about a cartographer. thanks for your help anyway. I figured out the one hint you gave me.

I don't recall which level speaks of the cartographer. I only remember finding his bones at the feet of Vecna. Basically I have no idea where you are at. I only found two dragons that had young dragons with them; the one where you get the master key, and the forrest dragon. Could you explain how you got where you're at?

Can't help in this instance, haven't played these areas in conflux III

Maybe soon I can get back to this dungeon!

The gate to the cartographer's guild cannot be opened. Think of it as a window to see what is going on on the other side.

Where this is at is about 5 spaces from where you insert the master key. If you win the game with a guild can you win it with another guild without restarting over? Where do you find Solune?

If you are referring to guild leader endings then you need to start over to access the different endings if you want all four. If you are referring to the non-guild endings, there is a way to trigger the points without triggering the game ending. For example, if you open all the throben doors and don't go down to where the prisoner is held, stepping in the last doorway will trigger the points, but going down the stairs will trigger the ending. You can also avoid the guild game endings and still get the points. At least I think you can. I have not finished Leyla's ending but I finished the other three.
Solune is found in the Pit D area. The bottom has a stone dragon. If you skip the giggler teleporter area and head up the many stairs you'll come across his location. You have to open a pillar to untrap him I believe.

In the tower of loops after you find the winged key, where does it go?

At the very beginning of the tower of loops is a secret - it is mentioned earlier in this thread, but I understand the thread is gettign a little cumbersome.
If you were to consider your next move at the stairwell, the answer may be revealed to you

Every ending with points can be validated without ending the game. You get the points before you step on the end-of-game pad.
For Gothmog's ending, you should still step into the last teleporter. It won't end the game, you can go back, and there's a little bit of funny content there

Is there anyway to get through hell

I don't think there is a golem slayer weapon. You can't get through hell (yet), so I hope you have an earlier save. It sounds like you'd find Admiral Kirk on Star Trek. I don't watch it so I don't know.

I tried another game with Zed alone (so far) and I am still not getting points for Solune's cerebus, and the weapons only alcove didn't work for this save either.
I found a Sar key in the spider level I didn't know about before and I finally found the egg chamber too. It's amazing that I've played this long and I'm still finding new stuff out. The Power Gem can invoke, you can kiss your cerebus pets, you can pray to Libra in the beginning, ect. I have planted so many spitter trees it's amazing (best place is the path through the white chambers).

Why would you want to plant trees? I have tried to grow snapdragons in the past but I haven't found the right place. Chewers, mushrooms and trees grow like crazy just about anywhere, but I don't see a real point to it, except in some highly specialized instances.

There isn't a point to it but why not? Place them over monster generators and enjoy. I can walk through the dwarven crypt all I want with a powergem and not trigger anything. I certainly can't imagine other people doing this. It's just one of the many things I enjoy about Conflux, so I'm going to utilise it. I've already played the game destroying nearly everything that's possible. Now I'm trying other stuff in my new game while finding out monster types based on the Tab/Statistics.

Place them over monster generators and enjoy.
That's GREAT!
Can you send me a savegame in which you
have done a lot of this sort of thing? I'd
like to see what the timer queue looks like.
Perhaps I better modify CSBwin to not generate
a monster if there is already a monster on the
square. Otherwise the savegame is going to
fill up with queued entries that can never be
deleted.
What thinkest thou, Mr. Zyx? Or should we
figure out a way for these things to die of
old age? Any ideas?

finding out monster types based on the Tab/Statistics
This will get better. We have devised a way to
display the names that Zyx has given the
monsters. Instead of "Skeleton(2)" you will
see something like "Bones of Zyx".

Help! I'm stuck in Smaug's lair and can't seem to find a way out. Any advice would be helpful. Also his dragon armour didn't register with "this feat will be remembered" or give me any points. I can send a recording of me picking it up if you wish.

The answer lies within smaug himself - once you have defeated him, the old exit reveals itself again, and you can exit from adoor too, though I think that is a dead end of sorts

What do you mean by reveals itself again? Smaug is dead and i've clicked pretty much every item you can find in his lair on every nook and cranny to no avail. There's one lock next to where i came out but neither of the keys i found in there worked. I can't get the door to open either and there was nothing relevant in the hint oracle. Maybe it's a bug? I have back up saves from ages back i could go to.
