Something I've always wanted to do in DM is to create a maze using walls that prohibit party movement, but are invisible - the exact opposite of the illusory walls in DM and CSB. Could RTC allow this??
Perhaps in conjunction with the New Spells ideas, we could have a spell that shows where the soild walls are??

Re: Blocking invisible walls
I think it is possible doing this using teleports - you can choose to affect party, monsters and object, without rotating and without sound and you`re done IMHO

Re: Blocking invisible walls
Yeah, that does work - but they don't behave like walls, i.e. the party can walk into them and not take damage. Plus you still have to target a square for them to work properly, and that affects the location of objects that are thrown through them. I want a solid wall that's transparent that objects can't be thrown through (if that makes sense!)

Re: Blocking invisible walls
I agree with Gambit...I had an invisible teleporter room that tried to act like an invisible wall room, but couldn't, as a) 'walls' have to have a thickness of two to accomodate coming at them from either side unless you make them only accessible from one side, and could not have a u-turn/end as then you have two/three different sides, but only one destination.
That/s before damage and throwing objects/spells : (
I have no clue about the transparency in the art that is being used for fireballs, etc, except that it was only possible to have 50% or none...can you also have 100%? And could this be related to the graphics for a wall?

Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

and a related thought...
since the illusionary maze was brought up...would it be possible to have an false wall that toggles to an illusionary wall? Or simply the ability to place two wall types on one tile - teleporter and pit, false and illusionary wall, etc
It's the last thing people would expect -walking through a door that teleports you unless you have turned it off, reversed toggling false and real pits...hehe...

Re: and a related thought...
I could be mistaken, or misinterpreting the suggestions, but I thought I recalled an invisible wall in DM...according to the unnofficial DM page its on level 5:

Perhaps I just don't understand what is being asked to make, or how that invisible wall was initially made. Is that wall made by invisble teleporters that move you back a square? Thats probably it since you don't get hurt running into it.

Yes, that 'wall' was made using teleporters that move you back two squares, so it appears that you're walking forever...
