Fireball explosions damage surrounding tiles

Post by Zyx »

This would be unlike DM, but would have its own logic:
Suppose a fireball explodes on point 0:

2|12|
--|--|-
1|01|2
2|12|
--|--|-

As you can see, in DM, the tile
01
12
would receive the damage and that's all. (However the 0 would receive more than the others.)
But indeed all the 1s are at the same distance of the explosion and should logically receive the same
amount of damage.
What I propose is to do 5% of the damage to the 1s in the exterior tiles, because of the blow of
the explosion (yes, I know this is not the best moment to talk about explosions...),
and 1% to the extern 2s, for example. It means that the party would receive maybe some damage
for casting a fireball at point-blank.
It would raise the gameplay, don't you think?
